This is the WORST Hotel I've ever stayed in!
1, photos for the room and even the room type you booked will NOT be the room you are staying in!
There are nice photos online, BUT reception told me that they have 6 houses and guests will be arranged to stay in different places! (NOT the one you saw online ) AND there are NO public facilities in those places AT ALL.
I booked a 8 bed dormitory and when I arrive, they forced me to stay in a 4 bed dormitory in different building with NO public facilities, NO reception and NO security AT ALL . and the reception even lie to me saying this is the 8 bed dormitory (he explained there are 4 beds in each room, so total 8 beds) , turns out I found there are only 2 beds next door .
The staff is such a dishonest and irresponsible Liar !
The reservation was cancelled without notifying me. My flight was delayed for an hour. When I got off the plane, I was shocked to see that my reservation had been cancelled. (I have already notified the hostel that I will be arriving late and advised them of my flight time . I booked an 8 bed dorm room, but when I got there, the front desk told me that all the beds were full except for a 4 bed dorm. And this is not the picture I saw on the Internet, I need to walk to another place, in the middle of the night, I have no choice. (Looking at the picture below, this is not an eight-bed, but a four-bed, which is very different from the picture on booking.)
3, They want me to pay cash. I've never seen any hotel accept cash only. I think what they are doing is unreasonable and unacceptable, they cancel my booking and ask me to pay cash, so I cannot leave a bad review. It is very disgusting.
I've stayed in hundreds of hostels all over the world, and none of them are like this! It shocked me! He ruined my trip to Dubrovnik! l I feel cheated and bullied! You can definitely find other hostels.

I have texted you advise that I will arrive later than 12 am and asked you if it is ok for checked in. Your reply I have attached saying “ of course,the reception is open all night. How can you DARE TO SAY I did not tell you about late check in?!
2 I have called booking.com customer service. They advised you cancel my booking at 12.04 am. and you even mentioned your self my bed is resold ! How could this even happen? !
3 I called you at 12.30 am as i found my booking was cancelled, you told me don’t worry about that and I arrived at 12.45 am. How could you made up story about me arrive at 3 am ? that is ridiculous!

Confirmed COVID case in my room but did not inform guests staying in the room of possible exposure. No protocol for covid. Charged us for a 4 bed when we were placed in a 6 bed. Unprofessional management - disparaging and dishonest communication style capitalizing on non-binding verbal agreements.

What we were promised from the pictures and location of the hostel was the MAIN site - not the annex, which located at a completely different place - a top a hill that is an ungodly amount of steps to get to with a suitcase. The fact that there is more than one building was never communicated anywhere in the emails and I only found out about it at reception after paying. Make sure you find out what building you are staying in because they will not take the initiative to inform you.
The second annex of the hostel is atrociously small. 6 beds in a room that barely has enough space for luggage. The toilet and shower spaces are shockingly small; you can barely turn to wash yourself without brushing up again the wall and getting yourself dirty again.
The person who called herself the manager was unfortunately, anything but, because she had to be managed herself. Agreed to put my 2 other friends and I together in a 4 bed but then made a sneaky change without telling us - placing us in a 6 instead but still charging us for a 4. No clarity regarding the change until I inquired about it. Then she tells me that she communicated this to my friend, except she did not and did not adjust the bill according to the change.
On top of this, a guest staying in my room had a confirmed case of covid. The “manager”did not inform the other guests of possible exposure. To make up for this situation, she offers to keep the room to my friends and I, which we thought was a fair reaction to the situation.
To our surprise, she changes her mind after one night, and assigns another guest in the room. When we asked for clarification, she did not offer any further explanation except that we paid for a 4 bed so it was in her right to add one person - despite her promising us to keep the room to ourselves the day before.
One of the worst hostels I ever stayed at. Zero knowledge of client satisfaction and concern for the health of their guests.

Read moreThere are two buildings for the hostel, one in the middle of the town centre and one at the top of the old town and it wasn’t clear which building you were staying in when you book. Many people were told to go to the central main hostel but were actually booked into the smaller hostel at the top of the old town and had to carry their bags up many flights of stairs because of the unspecified location of their booking- this needs to be clarified. The hostel only accepted cash payments which wasn’t convenient. The building in the main centre was more modern with better facilities and it was cleaner, whereas the building up the stairs at the top of the old town was older and grimier, and this is where we stayed. Our hostel building was much smaller and it wasn’t as central as the other main building, however it was more expensive to stay in. The cleanliness and facilities weren’t worth the price. The beds and pillows were not comfortable and the bathrooms were old, small and dirty. Despite this the location within the old town was accessible disregarding the stairs. What made the stay at the hostel a great experience for us were the volunteers Benny, Luiza, Evie and Meadhbh who were all incredibly friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They helped us navigate our way around and cared about making our experience in Dubrovnik a great one. During our time in Dubrovnik a group of us from the hostel went to a local beach and there was a miscommunication between a bunch of locals who threatened us. The group leader from the hostel Benny handled the situation maturely and calmly and made sure we were all safe and respected. He handled the situation appropriately and many onlookers came over and congratulated Benny on how he gracefully handled the situation. Overall, the hostel was extremely expensive for what it was and the facilities it had, but the volunteers were what made us have an amazing stay and enjoy our time...
