For context we are US traveller's, English speaking and like to get an early start everywhere we go. That makes breakfast a difficult appetite to satisfy as few places open before 08:00 and less have a traditional American style breakfast. However, this place delivered wonderfully. To start, we were greeted by Josip immediately after turning to take a look at the menu. He greeted us, showed us the breakfast menu and answered some of our questions with a pleasant attitude. Once seated, the lady had some specifics for her diet that we were able to easily work through. For starters they had soy milk for her latte, she was very excited for this. The lattes were great, excellent even, with a great, thick, milk foam that still makes her swoon. She also had the vegetarian breakfast (vegetarijanski dorucak) for which was fresh, well varied and tasted great. I had the breakfast jezuite which is a traditional 2 egg and real bacon breakfast with cheese, olives and cherry tomatoes. It was exactly what I needed and tasted great. The breakfast also came with fresh squeezed juice, basket of bread with various spreads, and wonderful service. Also at the time we were there, we were the first to be sat and by the end there was only 5 tables sat in all. The traffic was very light and comfortable at that time and breakfast could be enjoyed in relative quiet and comfort. We will likely be back tomorrow to enjoy all over again. Also, we chose this place based upon 2 factors, one being that they open at 08:00 and two, someone uploaded a picture of the breakfast plate I ordered. So here's giving back with some more pictures. Enjoy!

Nestled within the ancient walls of Dubrovnik, this restaurant is a true standout amidst a sea of predictable dining options. While many establishments in Old Town offer similar fare, this spot delivers something refreshingly different—clean, vibrant flavors, beautifully crafted cocktails, and an inviting atmosphere, all at a reasonable price. The tuna tartare is an absolute must-try—silky, impeccably fresh, and elevated with a touch of caviar for a hint of indulgence. And if you’re in the mood for an adventurous cocktail, look no further than the tequila and oyster—a bold yet harmonious pairing that surprises and delights in equal measure. Beyond the exceptional food and drinks, what truly sets this place apart is the warm and welcoming service—a rarity in this part of the world. The waitstaff is not only attentive and knowledgeable but genuinely friendly, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another tourist passing through. Dino, is a master of his craft and genuinely the best waiter In Dubrovnik. His, and the entire staff’s, passion for hospitality elevates the entire experience, adding a personal touch that lingers long after your meal. For those seeking an exceptional dining experience within the city walls, this is, without a doubt, the best spot in Old Town. A perfect blend of sophistication, creativity, and flavor—this is where you’ll find the true taste of Dubrovnik.

An extraordinary culinary experience! The dishes, tastes and service are top ! The manager of the restaurant is the best, elegant, gentle, generous, if I can put more than 5 stars to the Rudjer restaurant and it’s staff and manager I will put ********** it was a sublime tasting with unique flavors. such a superb experience! What can I say, everything was perfect. From appetizers to dessert, it was a real amazing dinner, something happened to me ad I didn’t do attention when choosing from the menu I took a dish with meat and ham and I didn’t read ham as I don’t eat the ham, so they brought me a supper dish very well decorated then when I saw that there’s ham inside the manager told me there’s no problem and asked them to make for me same new dish without ham and then we ordered delicious desserts and when paying the bill I saw that the manager offered me the dish & the desserts even if it was my mistake, what a classy and lovely manager, thank him so much, I recommend this restaurant for all occasions, the prices are very reasonable comparing to the extraordinary quality and service, the setting and the impeccable service We had a wonderful evening! Great service, the taste & the presentation, the dishes were sublime!! I absolutely recommend this restaurant to do in Dubronvik❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We were on a four day trip to Dubrovnik and the food we had here was the best of the whole trip! Not only the food was amazing, also the waiter was very nice when it came to service: it's the small things he did that definitely made our night. The restaurant has two terraces: the garden and square terrace. We sat on the garden terrace which had more of a peaceful and romantic setting. There was live music which matched the ambiance that was there. The square terrace is right next to the famous 'Walk of Shame' stairs and therefore much busier with people walking by. During the night we had four cocktails in total and all were balanced and had a good flavour. Also, the cocktails here are a bit cheaper than in the rest of Old Town. I would recommend the Cosmopolitan and Espresso Martini. Then the food. As a starter we shared the burrata with peaches and courgette. A nice portion to start with and tastend good. The beef cheeks are 10/10 would definitely recommend. The meat was super tender and the puree that came with it matched perfectly. I ordered the gnocchi with wild boar and again tender meat and good flavour.

This restaurant offers you a great dining atmosphere. We were dining in the ‘garden’ but you also have an other option to choose from. Once you’ll enter you will forget that you are in a very busy crowded Old town area. There is much green/plants and there is Some calm live music playing. There a lot small lights wich makes the place Cozy. The waiters are very friendly. We ordered Some Bread and after that 2 pizza’s and a bottle of white wine (souvignon). The wine and pizza were Amazing! However they forgot to bring us the Bread. Once we asked they apologized and brought it right away. Unfortunately we got the pizza at the same time so we didn’t eat the bread anymore. After this I ordered their Tiramisu which (again) they forgot. After I while i still got it and it tasted delicious. The staff once again apologized for being late with my dessert and offered a 10% discount on our Total Bill. They also removed the Bread which I thought was proper. Despite this I still think this restaurant great and I would recommend them to everyone. If you want to eat Here you’ll have to make a reservation.

Located in the heart of the city, this charming restaurant offers a perfect blend of great food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The food at Rudjer is top-notch, with a menu featuring fresh, local ingredients and expertly prepared dishes. Every plate we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented. The terrace is spacious and airy, making it the ideal spot for a relaxing meal, especially on a warm evening. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff was not only attentive and friendly but also went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. When we mentioned that one of the dishes wasn't to our liking, they kindly removed it from our bill without hesitation, which speaks volumes about their dedication to customer satisfaction. Overall, Rudjer offers a wonderful combination of excellent cuisine, a comfortable setting, and top-tier hospitality.
