Madonna Guest House, Dubrovnik — Hotel in Dubrovnik

DO NOT STAY HERE.

Booked this apartment via Air BnB 1 month ago. Arrived last night after a 27hr flight & paying €1000+ for a week to be told by Atina they had given the apartment to someone else (host knew this weeks ago and did not tell us until we arrived).

Host led us to a shoe box room with no windows in another apartment block with no suggestion of price alteration or compensation. When we advised we could not accept this, host cancelled the reservation unapologetically and denied any wrong doing.

The whole experience was incredibly stressful and we would hate for this to be someone else’s 1st experience of Dubrovnik.

A noi la casa è piaciuta moltissimo, spaziosa, tutto nuovo, tenuta perfettamente. La host è gentilissima, il parcheggio è disponibile gratuitamente in struttura (e fidatevi, per dubronik è roba rara), non possiamo che consigliarla caldamente. La posizione per certi versi è anche un lato positivo perchè è leggermente più defilata e quindi c'è molto meno casino. La fermata del pullman è vicina e vi conviene usarlo o andare a piedi, non usate la macchina perchè non si riesce a muoversi e a parcheggiare! Come difetti potremmo dire che la posizione, non è centrale, servono 10 minuti di autobus o circa 20-30 minuti a piedi per arrivare alla città vecchia. Servono 10-15 minuti circa per arrivare alle spiagge più vicine che però sono affolatissime. Le tende sulle finestre non chiudono bene e la mattina...

It was a comfortable stay for us. Bus stop is close and you can easily reach the Old Town in 10 minutes. We were there towards the end of April and the garden was full of lemon tree smell and you wake up to birds singing...
