City Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

Absolutely disappointed! The food was terrible and ridiculously overpriced. We came here because of the 4.6 rating on Google Maps, but what a mistake! The shrimp fettuccine was dry, bland, and the shrimps were clearly FROZEN—totally mushy and far from fresh. I can’t believe they charge 22 euros for such low-quality food! We also had the ram steak, which was over 20 euros, and it was horribly overcooked, dry, and even had a bad smell, as if the meat wasn’t fresh. To top it off, the so-called ‘beef soup’ was straight out of an instant packet, the exact same brand I found later (shown in the following pic), and they charged me 7 euros for it! We left most of the fettuccine and beef soup untouched, and ate 70% of the steak only because we were super hungry. They removed the fettuccine from the bill after I asked for it! BEST FOOD IN DUBROVNIK ! I took the pasta Napolitana : it was excellent ! Good quantity of pasta , sauce delicious and quality cheese ! Pretty plate ! Chocolat souffle on dessert , I didn’t know what to expect it was a lava cake with some crisps. Served with ice cream and chantilly. The restaurant’s decoration is beautiful. Good waiter that are taking care of us and polite. Toilet are really clean and for women we have some pad and tampon at disposition and even deodorant (first time i see that) and that’s amazing. The positive - Nice clean restaurant. Waiter confused my order of the feta cheese and vegetable salad and brought out season salad. I asked about the feta cheese that was missing. He told me he thought I meant the season salad and proceeded to just put feta cheese on the wrong existing salad - which wasn’t originally order and them still charged us for the salad.
