Lying on Every Item Ordered. Complete Scam

I rarely write bad reviews but this restaurant deserves one deserves it. We ordered Pork Neck and Dubronvnik Pizza (featuring prawn). We also asked for tap water (as they said coffee machine is broken), the male staff said they do not recommend it as the water pipe is old, so we ordered Mineral Water. However, when he served us water from a bottle, THIS IS OBVIOUSLY OPENED (see the stained bottle; the cap was just loose and the bottle was dirty; the server also only twisted it for 180 degree without having that "click" sound you break the metal bar). We saw the same for the bottle served for another table.

That's only the first sign of dishonesty. When the pizza arrived, the "prawn" was simply tiny shrimp; what's worse was that the shrimp was not fresh and likely precooked (from frozen food, perhaps). This is not the last scam we faced from this restaurant.

The "Pork Neck", which we as asians knows very well, was just pork chop. As it took so long for them to prepare the food, we simply didn't bother to complain to the dishonest staff, but I am obliged to write it here to...

Reading the good reviews, we visited with high expectations, but the food was all around terrible.

The quality of the ham was disgusting both in pizza and pasta. Dry, stringy, we pretty much threw away all our ham. The pizza tomato sauce was bitter and terrible, the veggies were practically raw.

We took the carbonara pasta and shrimp pasta. I have never tasted anything more sorry. The shrimp in the pasta was some frozen, tasteless rubbery thing. The cuttlefish risotto was barely edible, again the cuttlefish tasted like Styrofoam. Still the risotto was the best of the lot that at least we could eat.

Do not eat here! We were eating at the Zrinski before and their food is SO MUCH better and cheaper too! Their pizza and shrimp pasta were outstanding! We thought we would try this place for a change, bad decision! Ruined our last dinner...

As this was the closest restaurant to the place we were staying at, we chose to come here and the only thing we regret, is that we didn't have time to make it more than three times.

This place is perfect - the staff is friendly and professional, the food amazing and the prices cheap compared to anything else you might encounter in Dubrovnik. There isn't a lot of traffic on the street, so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and the food without any issue.

We tried different things on the menu - salad, risotto, pizza, meat... everything was delicious and the portions were ideal as well. On our last time, we were offered a small glas of liqueur on the house - which was really good as well.

If we ever come back to Dubrovnik, we won't even look for a different place to eat. Vita Bella has and is...
