Hostel Scala — Hotel in Grad Šibenik

I felt very comfortable and was warmly welcomed by the lovely Jelena, who is really very committed and gave lots of tips for things to do in and outside the city. Thank you very much 😊 The pool was one of the absolute highlights for me. I spent a lot of time on the lounger and enjoyed the sun. The building is very beautiful and modern. There is even a kitchen outside with a fridge where you can store your groceries and prepare meals. The rooms were very modern and clean. The guests were pleasant and it was very quiet. There was plenty of time to rest and relax 😊☀️. I was really satisfied all around and will definitely come again. It is the nicest hostel I have ever been to and I felt completely at home. Very affordable accommodation option in the city center. Its not a youth hostel, people of all age groups stay here, even some families with children.

Our private room looked just like in the pictures and we had secured parking right across the hostel inside a private garage (charged 7 euros extra per day).

The pool area is nice for breakfast or to chill.

During our 3-night stay A/C was out of order and no one came to fix it. We were offered a fan as a backup solution, but it didn't help since it was 36 celsius outside during the day / 28 at night.

I was slightly disappointed to find out on the spot that Scala cafe and restaurant were both closed, I kind of liked the idea that one could just come downstairs and grab some coffee or something to eat.

Overall, Scala is not a bad option for 40 euros/night in the heat of the season. I just hope that A/C guy...

This hostel is insane! The rooms are a decent size with en-suites and has a nice area to chill/eat/cook if you desire. The pool is such a luxury for a hostel and the reviews of this hostel can’t be further from the truth - it’s amazing! The employees are so friendly and polite and are always happy to help. The kitchen is outside next to the dining area for the attached restaurant, and is supplied with most of the things you will need (just don’t wear a dark shirt when cooking because someone might come up to you and ask a question - the lady who did this to me was surprised/borderline rude when I said I didn’t know and I didn’t work there 😂)||Will be the first place I book if I return to...
