Hostel Splendido — Hotel in Grad Šibenik

Came here and stay for a night, booked a bed in an 8-bed mixed dorm for 19 Euros/night. Location is about 10 mins walk from bus station going up a flight of stairs and then uphill. Upon arrival, the owner was very friendly and warm and showed genuine interest in getting to know me / my travel plans and also provide lots of information about Sibenik. ||||I normally prefer dorms with fewer beds but when I got to the room, I found that it really doesn't not matter at this hostel, the layout and beds are amazing! The thing I don't like the most about hostels are shaky beds, zero problem here as they are more like cubicles taking full use of the height of the room, you can sit up and not bump your head and others can climb to the top bunk and move and you won't feel a thing. There's a huge drawer at the bottom and they are so big it fitted my 58L backpack + carry on suitcase + my daypack!! The toilet/shower are hotel level grade, super clean, spacious and nice fittings! ||||2 small suggestions, I went to bed quite early, people were hanging out and chatting in the garden, not a problem with such but think there should be a curfew or at least quiet down by 11pm? It went on till past midnight. Also one of the guests arrived whilst I was in bed, the owner's son showed her to the room then asked whether it's ok to turn off the aircon, I wasn't sure why but he went on to turn it off already, the room got very stuffy and I started sweating, thank goodness someone else came in afterwards and turned back on the aircon, if everyone is out then of course the aircon should be off but I think if there are guests inside the room, then the staff shouldn't have turned it off. Splendido is an amazing hostel! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The hostel is very clean. The rooms are very nice. The mattresses are brand new and very comfortable. The bed linen and towels were very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable. The location is perfect - just two minutes from the bus station and three minutes from the ferry terminal. The hostess of the hostel Lyubica is a very nice woman, she told me where to go, what to visit. And the price was very cheap for such quality. Hostel Splendido is splendid indeed. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and were always up for a chat. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and well taken care of. The best bathrooms I've ever seen in a hostel. There is a cozy oustide area with a kitchen that has everything you need to make a nice meal. The hostel very close by a market and supermarket, and is a 3 minute walk away from the historical center of Sibenik. The bus station is a 2 minute walk from the hostel. I highly recommend a stay...
