Stayed there 8 days. Enjoyed Trogir, but used this location as a base for traveling the whole area. Since Trogir is smaller it is easier to get in and out versus Split. You can’t drive up to the hotel but drop off and public parking is very close buy. Along with a grocery store, fruit markets, restaurants, and sites. Wonderful location. A tour office with GrayLine is at the drop off spot so it was easy to book trips to Dubrovnik and the Krk waterfalls. We went to a lot of restaurants in the area which were SoSo. Finally tried the hotels restaurant and it was one of the best meals and started going there versus the tourist restaurants. Some of the best lamb chops ever. Great service. Bought bottles of red wine as gifts for them. Truly enjoyed our stay at Monika.

Fantastic hotel, well located. This was probably the best accommodation experience of our holiday. The staff did everything possible to ensure our comfort, from meeting us at the Northgate to help with luggage and navigate the city alleyways to the hotel, assisting with luggage to the room, attending to our needs for towels, glasses, ice buckets, breakfast requests etc. The restaurant is great and all staff hardworking and friendly. Special call-out to Tony who could not do enough for us. It was greatly appreciated. Also the breakfast team who ensured a good breakfast service with a smile. The rooms are also immaculate and well appointed.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Trogir - we had a delightful time staying here for two nights in Room 206. Staff was friendly and very helpful with all sorts of information about Trogir. Our room was comfortable and very quiet at night. The balcony off the second floor was a nice place to sit back and relax with a carafe of wine. Breakfast was hearty. We enjoyed our visit thoroughly and would book here again.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Monika. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful and the rooms are very nice, clean and we had no issue with noise at night time (one of my fears travelling and staying in hotels is not getting sleep due to noise!) We had one night booked and meeting friends the following day who were delayed flying in so they kindly let us store our luggage with them and we sat on the nice terrace on the 1st floor and waited for our friends after we had had enough walking around in the heat. We had a very inadequate and over-priced lunch on the water front on our arrival into Trogir. The staff were not very polite and our simple chicken salad and chips took a very long time to arrive. My glass of Rose wine was so small, it was gone in 2 sips!. We decided to eat at the hotel Monika’s restaurant that evening and we were not disappointed. The service was nice and relaxed and the food was lovely. The courtyard is very pleasant too so that became our place to go to eat a meal. As for the lack of an elevator which has been mentioned, unless you have mobility issues, we did not find this a problem at all and is all part of the charm of this hotel in the heart of a very ancient town. We returned to Hotel Monika for another night at the end of our visit in Croatia and once again, it was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to this lovely...

Fabulous hotel with amazing staff. Because our flight was delayed we arrived near midnight & the manager Tony was actually strolling around the maze of cobbled street keeping a look out for two bewildered tourists !!. You don't often get that class of service but that is an indication of the ethos of this hotel, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was huge, spotless, very comfortable large bed, lovely linen, very spacious bathroom - robes n slippers provided. Great selection of fruits, meats, breads, juices etc for breakfast. We found the same friendly helpful attitude from all the staff. It's on a lovely narrow cobbled street in the heart of the town a few minutes walk to the beach, seafront bars & restaurants yet it is so quiet & peaceful you really don't hear a sound at night. There are also countless restaurants & bars round every corner of this maze of streets & in the beautiful Squares all serving top class food at reasonable prices. Its very near the bus station if you want to explore further, we particularly enjoyed Kastel Stari & Kastel Gomilica. Its about 15 mins from Split Airport & 90 mins from Split city by local bus 37 but there is a faster service too. Highly recommend everything...
