The wine tour and tasting was very disappointing. We chose to do this on a rainy day in Bol, but I imagine a lot of the magic (and what justifies the higher price point), would be enjoying the tastings with beach views.
Instead, we were stood inside and did not get a seat. We purchased the most expensive tasting but the tour guides barely spoke to us - they seemed to stand round everyone else giving them more detail on the wine they're drinking etc, but acted like we weren't there. Not sure if it's cause we looked a bit younger, or cause we're a queer couple, or something else entirely - but it didn't feel good.
We were walking to the bar to grab multiple glasses of wine at a time and drink it without knowing what it was etc. We may as well have saved the money and just bought the wines ourself. Our tasting was at 5pm so by 6pm there was another tour going round and we felt hurried out and ended up gulping down the wine.
The tour itself was maybe 20 mins, in about 3 rooms. Some of which were really thin so we ended up so far away from the guide that we couldn't hear a thing he was saying.
It would make far more sense to tie the tour in with the actual wines we'd be tasting - explain them as we go so we can really appreciate what we are trying, rather than just seeing the machines that make them. And I'd suggest adding a cap to the people on a tasting, so everyone can have a more worthwhile experience.
In a perfect world, rainy days would also mean a discount, so we aren't paying a 'by the beachfront' premium, when it can't be used.
We spent about €77 on two tastings - not worth it and the whole experience put a dampener on our...
Read moreI would rate it lower if possible, we were simply offended by the staff. Looks great, but the attitude of the staff is terrible. We came there, being ignored by the guy, then he told us to wait for ten minutes until his shift end and a new guy comes. New guy came and told us we are late for a tour (by his words it started 10 min after we came - but there was a couple and us there only). At this moment we decided to leave - we were not treated in such an ignorant way in any winery yet. Just a note, the group vondisted of three wine connoisseurs (one licensed sommelier) and me,...
Read moreStina Winery, an authentic winery is located in a historical building on which you can see an inscription “The first Dalmatian Wine Cooperative”. It has a small variety of Dalmatian wines including prosecco. They offer a number of small appetizers to choose from to try with your local wine. You can also opt for a degustation set if you would like to try a few wine options. It has a nice view in front of the sea and is good for a quick apéritive or after dinner wine sipping. Slightly overpriced but overall a...
