Honestly a fantastic restaurant and a beautiful atmosphere. One of the nicest outdoor dinners I’ve had in a long time. It’s literally right off the beach and if you’re staying nearby in a hotel I would strongly recommend walking there through the paved beach path along the sea. We ordered the Greek salad, tuna tartar, bruschetta, lobster pasta, shrimp linguini and for dessert the tiramisu, orange cake and a wonderful coffee. Greek salad was good but lacked a bit of flavor (olive oil - vinegar would have helped), tuna tartar was wonderful and so was the bruschetta - strongly recommended. You may be asking why I rated overall as a 2 star and I will explain. For the mains I ordered the lobster pasta and it was fantastic; had a lot of flavor and was amazing to share as a family of 5. The problem is that there really wasn’t any lobster in the pasta. My son who loves lobster also noticed that there really only seemed to be scrap pieces. When I asked the waiter he claimed that it was 700 grams of lobster (impossible) and when I asked again noting there was very little lobster he stated that the lobster likely disintegrated into the pasta. I don’t believe that assertion and felt that they thought that because we were there as a family we wouldn’t notice and they could take advantage of a tourist. They didn’t even show us the live lobster before cooking it. In any event I wanted to enjoy the evening and did not press the issue further and it didn’t want to spoil our Eid holidays. As a learning I would strongly recommend that if you are ordering the lobster that they de-shell it in front of you and that you see the live lobster before it is cooked. I was really disappointed with the lack of integrity but do not fault the restaurant specifically; the manager on duty should have kept a close eye on this to ensure proper protocol. Honesty is very important as it impacts credibility and I hope they can address this in the future. The shrimp Linguini in white sauce was phenomenal. For dessert their tiramisu is the way to go. They provide you a giant slice that tastes home made. I did not enjoy the orange cake and recommend you try something else. Finally I capped the dinner with a coffee. We also ordered some strawberry lemonades and virgin mojitos which the family enjoyed. The staff and the service were also very good and they were accommodating to my young children. Finally, it’s an extremely busy place so I’d recommend that you call in advance for a...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Puesta for years and have always enjoyed bringing friends and family here for great seafood. Unfortunately, my latest visit was so disappointing that I feel compelled to write this review.
One of my all-time favourite dishes has always been the lemon-garlic fresh mussels — a plate we order every single time. Last night, I took some guests to Puesta expecting the usual quality. We ordered 1 kg of lemon-garlic mussels and 1 kg of creamy garlic mussels as starters. When they arrived, the entire table was shocked: both dishes were completely missing the garlic flavour, and the sauces were bland. It tasted as though the mussels had simply been boiled in water and served.
I politely pointed this out to our server, explaining that as regulars, we know exactly how these dishes should taste. His response was dismissive — “I can get you some extra sauce” — without even tasting the mussels himself. I explained that simply adding sauce on the side is not the same as cooking the mussels in it, which is where the depth of flavour comes from. Instead of showing concern, he complained to other servers loudly that the kitchen was busy and warned that a replacement would take 40 minutes, or that they have no more to serve.
Because of the unprofessional attitude, I asked for the manager. I explained that the same issue had happened two months earlier, and back then, the chef had apologised for not cooking the mussels in the sauce long enough. The manager agreed to replace them, but the same server returned to remove the mussel pots, he commented with a sarcastic tone: “I can definitely smell garlic in this.” He also asked us to go directly in the kitchen to ask the chef if there is garlic in it.
After nearly an hour from our original order, the replacement arrived — and they were even worse. I am certain they were the same mussels we had sent back, because they were cold and still contained the empty shells we had discarded earlier. The kitchen had simply grated raw garlic on top to mask the lack of flavour. This was insulting both to us as customers and to the concept of quality dining.
By the time our main courses arrived, over 30 minutes later, they too were mediocre at best.
For a place I once recommended to everyone, this experience was a huge disappointment. Between the declining food quality, careless preparation, and the unprofessional behaviour of the staff, Puesta has unfortunately...

Some dishes are really good, other dishes are average, and they have some dishes that are inedible.
For example, when we tried the stuffed calamari, it was like biting into a shoe sole; extremely elastic. It had too much anise in it, which was overpowering, and the tomato sauce was just vile - it felt like it was straight from a tin can.
However, the baked scallops were cooked to perfection.
So, why am I giving this 1 star? Because we waited 20 minutes for one of our main dishes to arrive (we had to remind them that we were waiting for another dish, the calamari) and they never apologised for it being cold, hard like a truck's tire, and very late.
But of course, this is no reason to give 1 star. I am giving this one star because I ordered a coffee with 2 extra shots and they charged me for 2 separate coffees. Yes, double the price.
They never told me they would do that, and they never mentioned it when they brought the bill, I just noticed it by chance.
€7 for a coffee. This offended me deeply, and it is the one thing that ruined my mood at the restaurant, hence the 1 star. I had been there before and I knew that the food (hot dishes mainly) is not very good, and that's FINE with me. But the AUDACITY to charge a customer for 2 coffees, who casually made a €130 bill for lunch, when I only ordered one coffee, is beyond me. I have no words for this greed and unprofessionalism. Please understand that this is by no means specialty coffee and it almost certainly is one of the cheapest brands available.
To the restaurant and its management, I hope you enjoy your extra €3.50. I'm never recommending Puesta to my friends, family and colleagues again and I'm definitely not visiting again, nor bringing my clients there to eat, as I've done in the past (which I...
