One of the few restaurants in Limassol with a playground for kids—making life a bit easier for parents. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and here’s why:
Where I come from, here’s how such a serious issue is typically handled: • The staff offers a sincere apology. • The plate is immediately replaced with a fresh one—on the house. • A complimentary dessert or drink is usually offered as a goodwill gesture. • Within a day or two, the restaurant follows up with a call to apologize again and extend an invitation for a return visit with a small complimentary offering.
Upon arrival, we asked if a table for seven could be arranged. There weren’t any available that fit our group, and the staff member informed us that we’d either need to split up or squeeze into a table meant for four—according to management policy. When I requested to speak to the manager in hopes of finding a reasonable solution, the manager refused to speak with him and instructed the staff to tell us: “Let them leave if they don’t like the rules.”
I was genuinely shocked. For a place in the hospitality business, this was anything but hospitable. It was rude, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. If you’re going to run a restaurant, at the very least, learn the fundamentals of customer service.
In the end, we squeezed into the small table to avoid making a scene in front of my in-laws, but the experience was far from pleasant. Everyone was visibly uncomfortable, and the tension lingered throughout the meal.
P.S. Let’s not even get started on the unjustifiably overpriced menu.
Well done, La Petit Plage—you’ve officially earned the award for worst service in Limassol.
Avoid this place! It’s...
Read moreThe restaurant has a lot of potential but falls short in several key areas. The location is stunning, right by the seaside, with a modern and cozy design that creates a great atmosphere. However, the food was disappointing and highly overpriced. Most dishes felt overcomplicated, and the prices simply didn't match the quality.
For instance, the oysters were served with the wrong sauce. A simple combination of vinegar, onion, and Tabasco would have done the job, but the sauce provided overwhelmed the oysters, and the small sauce bottles were impractical. Even the oyster quality wasn’t great, especially for the high price. Additionally, there’s only one option for ceviche—why not broaden the menu to offer varieties like tuna, salmon, or mussels, paired with different sauces? A wider selection would make the dining experience much more appealing.
The wine list is also limited. Adding something simple like Sauvignon Blanc could improve the selection.
On the positive side, the design is fantastic, and having private parking is a big advantage. I strongly recommend broadening and simplifying the menu while offering more approachable options. The restaurant has so much potential, and with a few changes, I believe it could become much more popular. There's a nearby restaurant that offers great food at half the price and is always full—simplifying and expanding the menu here could really help bring in...
Read moreI’m writing to share some feedback following an upsetting experience I had today. Over the past six months, my family and I have been regular visitors to your restaurant and playground. We’ve always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the fact that it’s a place where both children and adults can enjoy themselves.
Today, however, while passing by the outdoor area (not as a customer at that moment), I had my baby with me and two older children walking from the playground. One of your waiters was rushing through with a tray of drinks and came extremely close to stepping on my baby. Instead of offering an apology, he shouted at me — “Watch out your kid!” — in a sharp and unkind tone.
As a mother, I was shocked by both the lack of awareness and the response. It left me feeling shaken and unwelcome in a place we’ve grown to enjoy. While accidents can happen, I believe this kind of situation — especially near a playground — calls for more care and consideration from staff.
As someone who also understands how challenging it is to run a busy restaurant, I’m sharing this not just as a concerned parent but as someone who hopes this feedback helps improve communication and safety in your team. A little more training or awareness in these moments could make a...
