MarisMare Apartments — Hotel in Ayia Napa

You would like to hear the good, bad and even the ugly of which there was a lot. Sorry to say. Let's start with the reception and receptionist shall we? Andrea was too familiar and up front and what I believed to be a number of white lies too. Andrea was involving her personal experiences into the initial conversation. As a guess traveling from halfway across the world and halfway across the island of Cyprus with temperatures reaching 40 degrees and a humidity to match. Not only for myself, on my sixty first birthday looming just around the corner and sweet young at heart eighty one year old mother, she really dragged out the check-in. After travelling like we did we didn't need the conversation at all. Then there was the cobbled pathways to manure to a further step into our apartment. Try handling luggage on one out of date trolley and a further supermarket trolley if that wasn't bad enough. I tripped three times on the uneven surface and if it wasn't for my mum being there, I would have crashed into those solid stone slabs or even the bushes around the labyrinth of routes to strangely numbered blocks of apartments. The apartment was a total disgrace around the extractor fan over a 2 hob halogen top. As soon as the food was left out of the fridge a whole army of ants descended from o where. We lost a load of food because of just that. The drainage board left in the cupboard in the kitchen with reason was disgusting and full of germs. The one kitchen blind was broken so no privacy what so ever in the kitchen. The toilet bowl was wedged in between shower and wash basin. The wash basin was in the middle of a marble side board and so got wet easily. We couldn't manover endering the shower itself. Not for a stocky fellow like me. The apartment was out of proportion with a lounge far too big and tiny bedroom and bathroom. I would avoid exposing yourself to this especially the ants and generally the cleanliness of the place. Terrible Experience – Our Belongings Were Stolen and Staff Showed Zero Concern!

We stayed at MarisMare Hotel in Ayia Napa, in room 8211, and we had one of the worst experiences of our lives.

On June 28th, 2025, while we were away from the room, very expensive and personal belongings were stolen. These included: • high-end clothing, • makeup and cosmetics, • gold and silver jewelry, • and valuable gifts we had brought with us.

We are 100% certain that this theft was committed by hotel housekeeping staff, as there was no forced entry, and only the staff had access to the room.

The worst part? The woman at reception showed absolutely no interest in helping us. When we reported what had happened, she acted cold, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She didn’t apologize, didn’t offer help, and didn’t care that we were in distress.

We were flying out the same night and were left completely helpless. The hotel staff made no effort to investigate, document the case, or support us in any way. Their attitude was: “not our problem.”

This is unacceptable behavior for any hotel, especially one that claims to offer a comfortable and safe experience. We felt completely unprotected and disrespected.

We will be filing an official report with the Cyprus Police, and we are also contacting the Cyprus Consumer Protection Service and the Tourism Board.

I strongly advise any future guests: ⚠️ Do not stay here. You are at risk of theft, and the hotel will not help you if something goes wrong.

This hotel ruined our trip, and their complete lack of responsibility is outrageous. I hope this review helps prevent others from going through...

RUN AWAY ! Very bad experience in this place. The manager of this hotel is dishonest, he uses the name of a neighboring hotel "Callisto Village" which is very good, and when you arrive the hotel in question is closed. We meet next door at MarisMare Apartments.

Decent rooms but the rest horrible, no lawn, dirt, old swimming pool not maintained, no staff. When I go to see the boss of the hotel to say that there is deception on the name of the hotel, he immediately raised the tone by saying that it is not his problem and that I had to turn around against the travel website. He also tells me that he is not the village callisto and that he is not usurping his name.

So I ask for my bill and strangely he refuses. he was aggressive and rude. I was able to recover a document of force and which proves that it is usurper and a crook. All the evidence is in pictures.

Do not book at this hotel, because if there is a problem, they will never refund you. To this day, I still haven't been reimbursed. To avoid !!!!!

FUYEZ ! Très mauvaise expérience dans ce lieu. Le gérant de cet hôtel est malhonnête, il utilise le nom d'un hôtel voisin " Callisto Village" qui est très bien, et quand on arrive l'hôtel en question est fermé.

On se retrouve à coté à MarisMare Apartements. Des chambre correct mais le reste horrible, pas de pelouse, de la terre, une vieille piscine pas entretenue, aucun personnel. Quand je vais voir le patron de l'hôtel pour dire qu'il y a tromperie sur le nom de l'hotel, il a tout de suite monté le ton en disant que ce n'est pas son problème et que je devais me retourner contre le site web de voyage.

Il me dit aussi qu'il n est pas le callisto village et qu'il n'usurpe pas son nom. Je demande donc ma facture et bizarrement il refuse. il à été agressif et malpoli. J'ai pu récupérer un document de force et qui prouve que c'est usurpateur et un escroc. Toutes les preuves sont en image .

Ne réservez pas dans cet hôtel, car en cas de problème, il ne vous remboursera jamais. À ce jour, je ne suis toujours pas remboursé. À...
