So, I normally do not even bother with reviews but I had to create an account just for this hotel specifically. Starting off, I booked this through booking.com, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel had a broken sewage system and that we, along with six other local families, needed to move to another hotel for the night. This was incredibly inconvenient as we had to carry all our luggage to the new location. Upon returning on the original hotel the next day we were given to sign a disclaimer form, which we refused. While the hotel itself isn't bad, the management and reception staff left much to be desired. The local reception staff, in particular, were indifferent and unhelpful, showing little concern for the inconvenience we experienced. When my room key card stopped working, they claimed to have fixed it, only for it to fail again. It wasn't until a technician intervened that the issue was properly resolved. The technician was professional and very helpful, in stark contrast to the reception staff. I had to wait 1 hour in order to go back to my room and since I suffer from IBS it is very unhealthy and bothersome for me. Adding to our disappointment, we noticed that other families who were also relocated were given free meals as compensation, while we received nothing. Furthermore, we experienced several other issues during our stay such as there was no safe parking space available for our vehicle and the fact that the number of sunbeds provided was inadequate making it difficult to enjoy the pool area. On a more positive note, the bartender and the manager of the restaurant were excellent. They were professional, friendly, and provided great service, which was a refreshing change from the rest of our experience. Despite the positive interactions with the restaurant and technical staff, the overall treatment we received, especially from the reception, was highly disappointing. I would not recommend this place especially if you are Cypriot, as it's clear that the hotel does not prioritize the needs or comfort of local guests. This experience has left me with a very poor impression of the hotel and its management, although I did appreciate the efforts of the bar/restaurant and...

Drove up from our main hotel in Paphos to spend a couple of days & a night in Ayia Napa. Unfortunately we planned and pre-booked visit while in UK for what ended to be hottest day in years. We spent the afternoon at Nissi beach & returned to this hotel to get ready to go out for something to eat & a lovely evening. I got into a much needed shower. Water was ok few mins then warm water went to very hot & cold went to boiling! Partner went down to reception (I couldn't as covered in soap & shampoo) They were already aware we had no cold water. The Manager shook my partners hand a couple of times, gave his word & said they were working on it and would be fixed within 30 min. 45 min later still only dangerous boiling water. My partner went back down. Receptionist said "The Manager has not kept his word then" & said about another 30 min. My partner had to go and get some large bottles of water to I could rinse off my hair etc. A further 45 min later and still nothing. Partner went down again and was told another 30-45 mins hopefully! By now it was 9.30pm still only boiling water so we had no option but to go out for something to eat without having been able to have a shower. Evening was totally ruined. We spoke to a different Manager the following morning before checking out. Very unhelpful and was either given a lot of false information or she was deliberately lying to us. She said the water was only off for 40 min (must have been over 3 hours), said visitors in the rooms affected were informed (apparently water for the front rooms of the hotel come from the mountains so not all hotel rooms affected!) We were in our room no one knocked or called the telephone in our room then said that everyone was offered a curtesy room to have a shower in. Definitely not. We had to go down 3 times to get updates on when we may have water for a shower and nothing was ever mentioned even though they knew we were waiting for showers to go out. We only wanted to be able get clean and some honesty from Hotel Managers. Managers Customer service 0. Wifi non existent, air con poor and couple of room lights also...

The only real advantage of this hotel is its location: central and convenient. Unfortunately, everything else made my stay more stressful than enjoyable.||The room was old and poorly maintained: the ceiling had swollen panels from humidity, the bathtub was surrounded by rust… not exactly what you expect when booking a hotel at this price.||The wifi was a complete disaster. It didn’t work for half of my stay. Every day the same excuses: “someone will come to check the antenna,” “we need to wait for the company.” Result? No concrete solution and, most of all, nobody ever bothered to offer me a room change. I paid for a service, but clearly here they don’t care.||At the reception, instead of finding helpfulness, I found boredom, as if bringing up problems was a nuisance rather than part of their job. Example? I politely asked for a restaurant recommendation: they said, “ok, we’ll call,” but then handed me the phone to speak myself. Zero involvement, zero customer care.||Breakfast was another disappointment: almost entirely salty, with just two sad sweet options. Maybe fine for the English, but for other Europeans who expect a more balanced breakfast, it was very poor.||And to top it off, the room key card stopped working every single day, forcing us to walk back and forth to reception constantly.||In short: excellent location, but everything else was a mix of neglect, disorganization, and uninterested staff. I wouldn’t go back even for free, and I definitely don’t recommend it to anyone looking for a...

We were located in one of the Salamis buildings and I have to say it was everything but comfortable. From the damp smell, the old furniture, the dirty bed and the moldy air conditioner, everything needs a huge improvement. We regret to have stayed here. The first day when we arrived an old lady told us that there was a problem with the sewage pipes and they had to relocate us to their “sister hotel” for a night but it would be fixed by the next day. The next day we checked out from the other hotel and came back to check in again, however we were told that our room wasn’t ready. It was at 11 am. I confronted the lady at the desk that not only are we dragged around but now we have to wait and I asked her whether the pipes were fixed to which she just smiled — so I asked her if it was an overbooking or a real issue? She kept smiling, admitting that they lied to our faces. I explained to her that there is no problem overbooking their hotels however lying to their customers’ faces is everything but professional — it’s disrespectful. The keycards stopped working after a while etc. If you’re on a budget holiday, it’s fine. However if you really want to enjoy your stay, it’s better to be avoided — at least the Salamis section. The photos do not represent what’s really there. The rooms do not have any sound proofing, the doors let light in from around at night. It’s close to the city center and there are great shops around. Breakfast is fine.

Good things: Location was good. Close to the beach and bus stop right next to the hotel. Neutral things: Breakfast was okay most of the times, except that every time either orange juice had run out or apple juice. Pool area was pretty nice, but it looked like the pool hadn't been cleaned recently. Reception was all-right except for the time when the receptionist was smoking inside... Pool-bar was okay. Drinks were okay and food except for the frozen pizzas. Bartenders were good. Negatives: If you get room 109 I feel sorry for you. Room had a weird closet full of construction waste and I think this closet was the place where all your sleeping buddies showed up during the night. During the first night there were cockroaches, ants and spiders in the room. We got a new room for the night and the next day we had to change rooms again. They tried to offer room 109 back to us but we were never gonna accept that again. Every room seemed to have different furniture. My Friend's room didn't have a bin in the room and the other friend's room had no water boiler etc and no mirror in the bathroom. Also the rooms were outdated and hadn't been renovated in a while. Also the hallways in the hotel were quite awful. Dangerous cracks in staircases and very outdated. Also many weird bugs and lizards there from time to time.

I had an amazing time at New Famagusta hotel, if I could've given more than 5 stars I would! I stayed with a friend for 3 nights. We arrived early in the morning (our flight landed at Larnaca at around 7AM and we went straight to the hotel, with no sleeping hours so we were really exhausted and we kindly explained it to the receptionist. She was super considerate and she immediately asked the manager. It took about half an hour and she gave us a key to the room, which is definitely appreciated since the check-in was supposed to be much later. The breakfast was great, they have large selection of food, and they even give you an option to get a fresh omelette with toppings of your choice. The service was above and beyond. Housekeeping came every day to clean, change sheets and give us new towels, they were even flexible when we were sleeping and agreed to come on our time of choose. The team was super friendly, both the manager, all the different receptionists, the bar tender, and the security guard. Forguve me if I missed someone but basically all the workers were excellent. Highly recommended.
