I’m writing a very honest review about our experience of Sancta Napa Hotel, we did have a nice holiday here. We would stay here again for the location, however probably on a bed and breakfast basis rather than all inclusive. This could be an excellent hotel with a few tweaks. ||We were a party of 6 and stayed 10 nights at the Atlantica Sancta Napa hotel. Firstly the hotel was very accommodating, our party asked for a ground floor room and one of the rooms to be a double instead of a twin which the hotel arranged for us. ||Rooms - two of the three rooms we booked had been renovated, the hotel are modernising the hotel rooms in the main building they have completed the ground and first floors, however the other floors are yet to be modernised. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Some rooms are a little on the small size, and plug sockets are limited so I would definitely recommend bringing an extension lead! UK plugs in the rooms too which was handy. The renovated rooms were lovely, however the rooms which are yet to renovated the bathrooms are looking a little tired. ||The location of the hotel is excellent, only a couple of minute walk to the beach/ harbour, and also very close to bars/ restaurants. The square was less than 10 minutes away, close enough to walk to but far away enough to not hear the noise. ||Food and drink, we had breakfast at the hotel every morning. The coffee was ok, however the juices available tasted like highly concentrated cheap squash rather than pure juice which was a shame. I found if you went to breakfast early the food was warm, if you went later on then the food was quite cold. They have an omelette station which I definitely recommend! There is a variety at breakfast and it does alternate, the only thing I would say about breakfast is the fruit selection was poor. It was mainly tinned fruit, no fresh melon or pineapple to have with yoghurt in a morning. We tried the snack bar for lunch several times, which was nice the food is cooked to order, they are just a bit heavy on the sauce. ||The main restaurant for lunch and dinner was average, they had a decent amount of choice and it did vary every night we ate there. The food did taste good, there was nothing we didn’t like, but the food was just never hot. ||The rooftop restaurant was excellent, the food was lovely and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Would definitely recommend to book as you get one free visit if you stay a week or more. ||Drinks were ok, the beer, sparkling wine and spirits were all good. The cocktails weren’t the best, very sugary squash like. We liked the Cyprus kiss and blue lagoon from the all inclusive menu which we stuck too throughout the holiday. They do offer premium spirits and premium cocktails however they charge €6 each for these which I think is cheeky. A mojito and daiquiri are not premium cocktails! ||Sunbeds/ towels - I feel there are insufficient sunbeds available for the amount of guests at the hotel, we stayed in September so I dread to think what it would be like in peak season. The hotel seems to have expanded over the years however the facilities don’t appear to have expanded with it. |Guests can only reserved beds from 8am on the dot, which I think is a good idea to stop people getting up ridiculously early to reserve a bed. If you go for a bed past 9am the options are limited or sometimes you can’t get a few together at all. |The hotel offers beach towels which you can change every other day, you do have to pay a deposit of €10 per towel which you get back at the end of your stay. We’ve never had to do this before. ||Facilities - the WiFi was excellent, always had a good connection. The lobby was nice, although they would probably benefit from having a bar there as there is only one. The luggage room was good, had plenty of space and lockers/ scales available (at a cost) could do with having air con. You can use the gym showers if you have a later flight which were modern and spacious they could do with having a hook or shelf to keep your clothes dry. |The entertainment wasn’t great, if you wanted to sit near the bar past 8pm there were never any...
Read moreAlmost forgot to leave a review...||We have been home almost 3 weeks after another incredible holiday at this beautiful hotel and the wonderful Ayia Napa!|This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and we would never look to stay anywhere else in this area. ||There is something about this hotel that draws you back. The Food is out of this world with so much choice, and new themes every day for lunch & dinner times. The presentation is something you do not normally experience at an All Inclusive Hotel. The dedication that goes into the presentation and quality of the food is nothing short of outstanding. ||The staff.. well what a team! Every single person in every department go out of their way to ensure you feel like they are there for you and you alone! |We arrived at around 11pm, and we had the usual sandwhich on arrival and a cold glass bottle of water waiting for us in the room.|A special mention to...|Marios in the Restaurant, Job, Ali, Beverly, Mannos, ALL bar staff and just every single person! |If I could give a special mention to them all I would because they are such a special team of people who work super hard. |We arrived on the Sunday, and were invited to the Manager's meal on the first Tuesday, which is for returning guests, as a special thank you from Ele, the manager. You would not believe how many people return year in year out! This is such a special night and always a way to meet new people. |We always love that there is a photographer this night to allow you to get a special photo with your nearest and dearest!|The location of ASN is perfect! Less than 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to the gorgeous harbour town and 10 minute walk to the main strip. Plenty of mini supermarkets around for little bits you might want to pick up. |A few recommendations out and about...|Great restaurant on the Harbour called Limanaki with brilliant prices |The Crown over the road also does incredible food again good prices and the portion sizes are HUGE! These also show Premier League football. |Daily boat trips from the Harbour and most stop off to swim with Sea Turtles - i would recommend the Blue Lagoon Boat and book down at the Harbour for better prices. |A beautiful walk along the coast which takes you to Nissi Beach, Landa, Makronisos all the way to the Main Marina, Or you can catch the bus 101 to these beaches for €2pp (102 back) from 5 minutes from the hotel (the buses are immaculate)|You can also catch these same buses to Protaras for the same price. We ventured there one evening and it was fabulous. ||Back to the hotel... we were in room 327. This is a standard twin room with side sea view (see pictures for views.) The room needed a little TLC, however, we know the hotel are currently updating rooms between seasons and with so many rooms, there is only so much they can do in the short winter months they are closed.|We had a leaky shower head, but we never mentioned this to reception as it wasn't really a problem but we know if we had said something, it would have been sorted. |Previously we have stayed in a premium room (304) and apart from the washroom layout, there wasn't much difference. |We never had an issue with storage (you work with what you've got) and prefer more space to move around the room rather than it being taken up with wardrobes. ||Yes... there is an 8am rule on the sunbeds, but this allows the staff to clean the pool area prior to people being on sunbeds to ensure it is ready. |There wasn't much of a rush for sunbeds, you do get the odd person who think they own a spot, but that's on the person, not the hotel, you get that at a lot of places!|Over the 3 years of us staying here, we have made so many incredible friends, who will remain friends for life. We are all returning guests which I think says alot! |Thank you so much Ele, Margarita and your incredible team for making us feel so welcome once again |We look forward to seeing you all next year (already booked 😀)||Cleanliness 5|Food 5|Rooms 5|Location...
Read moreMy family and I stayed at this beautiful hotel in July this year and I have to say that the many positive reviews I read beforehand are indeed a true representation of this hotel. We have visited Cyprus many times over the last 12 years and Atlantica Sancta Napa was one of our favourites thus far for many reasons. Before arrival I emailed the hotel and the manager Ele kindly arranged a room in a quiet location with a wonderful view for my partners birthday along with a reserved table in the restaurant as well. Very kind and unexpected. The room itself was a family room nearer the new build part of the building, it was large, clean, had a fantastic balcony and the cleaning ladies were so lovely and cleaned every day!
The food at this hotel is second to none, never have I experienced better food in any all inclusive I have visited. My kids loved the freshly baked cookies some mornings and I loved the omelette station!! Fantastic food!! We never felt the need to eat out as the food was restaurant quality every day and night! My only negative point on the food would be the snack wasnt great in my opinion. I know that this is quick food but a lot of it was precooked then warmed through when ordered so I personally found the burgers/pittas were not great, nor the chips as rarely hot when we got them. We barely ate at the snack bar though as the main buffet food was so good we didn't feel the need to so it was not a huge issue for us.
The all inclusive drinks are okay but not great. There is a cocktail menu but in comparison to other A.I hotels I found the cocktails were not great quality and a lot were not measured at all. I appreciate this is probably the quickest way to do things to avoid ques but it resulted in many of them tasting the same and not in a positive way unfortunately. The bar staff were all lovely, as were all of the waiting staff and reception staff we encountered, could not fault one member of staff! Superb! They really made us feel welcomed and like valued guests.
The main pool we found nice, we loved that towels could not be placed before 8am and the lifeguard would remove towels if owners did not return after some time which was great. The kids pool is shallow and safe for little ones but offers little to no shade which was not ideal with small kids who want to be in the water 24/7 having so much fun. Some more shade in this area would be a great addition. The main pool we never felt too crowded and always managed to get a bed. One aspect I didn't enjoy on some occasions was there were many youth groups who were playing ball games in the pool (outwith the hotel organised ones like water polo). This could be a little frustrating as groups of up to 6 people would be throwing a ball around taking up large areas of the pool and the lifeguard seldom asked them to refrain. The lifeguard was quite strict in other aspects like kids splashing or using a water gun on each other which didn't seem entirely reasonable when compared to ball games taking up a 3rd of the pool space. I understand rules are for the safety of all guests but it is fair to say that there were inconsistencies in who was approached regarding rule breaks. All of that being said, in terms of feeling safely monitored in a pool , this lifeguard certainly does his job! I've been to other places were they are disinterested, sitting on their phones etc, but this man was very vigilant in ensuring the guests were safely monitored at all times and worked very hard, I think he had one day off the entire 11 days we were there! The evening entertainment was really good, we loved the magic show in particular! And the beach across the road, perfect location!! Few minutes walk from everywhere! Fab! On a side note, little kids play area would be a great addition with some slides/swings. Overall I would give this hotel 4.5/5 as it is as near perfect as you will get and we would absolutely return despite the minor issues stated. Thank you for an overall...
