Kitonas Junior Apartments — Hotel in Limassol Municipality

The air conditioning was constantly dripping (and at times, pouring) water. Despite contacting Pavlos (the owner) on several occasions and the "technician" allegedly "fixing" the issue, the leaks persisted. The one and only time we saw a "technician" he was more interested in showing us his amateur videos he had put on You Tube, telling us that he really wants to make films! ||As there is no door separating the bedroom from the living area (perhaps 15 feet, where the AC unit is), placing pans to catch the drips wasn't an option because not only did the dripping resonate on the laminate flooring which kept you awake, but the volume of water which was being generated required a wheelie bin to contain the night's water!||We got the distinct impression that we weren't believed because, of course, each time Pavlos and said "technician" visited there was never any evidence of said unit leaking - despite almost being able to set your watch by it that after switching the AC on for 10 minutes, the dripping would start. So I question how long were they actually checking the unit for (if at all)? So, no AC in 28deg C, not funny. ||Eventually we used our mobile phone to video the flow in all its glory (of course wishing we were bright young things and technology savvy, we should have thought of this sooner) and emailed the clip to Pavlos. It came as no surprise to us that we never heard a word from him.||So yes, all shiny and charming on the surface to two female travellers, but we do wonder what the reaction will be when Pavlos is confronted by a, much less patient than us, (equally sleep deprived) six foot man...

Kitonas was an amazing surprize during our stay in Limmasol. The place is new, the furniture is nice, simple and practical. Also in the appartment you can find anything you might need in order to prepare a meal. If you stay for many days, you can even wash your clothes at the laundry at the top of the building or even ... work out a little bit, even though you can not really tell that the equipment of the "gym" is full!||||However, when on vacation, you probably won't spend your time inside.||||The only thing that made us feel a little anconfortable was the neighbourhood where Kitonas is located. As we found out, the neighbourhood used to host Turkish-Cypriots, who left after the invasion in the island and the population exchange.||||The whole area, even though it is in walking distance from the Castle and the luxurious Marina, seems abandoned, more like ... forgotten...

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo appartamento con una bimba di 9 mesi. Il check-in è stato veloce, il proprietario ci ha accolto personalmente e ci hanno fatto trovare anche una culletta da campeggio con i lenzuoli e un asciugamano appositamente per la bimba. L’appartamento ha la comodità del parcheggio al quale si accede mediante un cancello automatico dotato di una rampa che è priva di scivolo ma ha uno scalino all’altezza del marciapiede quindi ogni volta che si entra o si esce bisogna fare attenzione soprattutto per chi, come noi, non è abituato alla giuda a destra. L’appartamento, il 303, è piccolo, ha una cucina con frigorifero, forno, due fornelli, piatti, posate, bicchieri, una pentola per l’acqua, una padella, un pentolino e due teglie per il forno ma è sprovvisto di sale, zucchero, olio quindi se dovete soggiornare per alcuni giorni dovete comprare tutto il necessario, a noi ci è stato fornito soltanto il detersivo per i piatti e due mini bagnoschiuma, tuttavia nelle vicinanze a piedi c’è un mini market mentre a 5 minuti di macchina c’è un lidl; il bagno ha una doccia e per fare uscire l’acqua calda occorre aspettare qualche minuto; la camera da letto è confortevole; il condizionatore all’ingresso funziona benissimo e riesce a rinfrescare tutto l’appartamento. C’è anche un phon e un adattatore della presa e per chi fosse interessato anche un casco per la bicicletta.|L’unica pecca è l’attraversamento della strada molto pericoloso perché si trova nei pressi di una rotonda, privo di strisce pedonali e di illuminazione adeguata, con una bimba e un passeggino è molto pericoloso. |Il centro si raggiunge facilmente a piedi in 10 minuti.|Nel complesso è un appartamento molto moderno, silenzioso, luminoso in una struttura nuova e in una posizione...
