Cinéma Bar Limassol — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

I go to this bar very frequently and the service is usually amazing but me and a few friends went over the weekend and when we arrived we were greeted with the usual busy queue. One of the hostesses came up to us to ask how many people would be in our party to which I clearly stated 3. We waited for around half an hour which wasn’t an issue for us, but we kept track of who was in the queue before and after us. Clearly this was not the case with the hostess as she allowed 3 girls that were after us in line to go in first. When our “turn” came, we were taken to the bar where there were only 2 seats which is obviously not ideal, and when we expressed our dissatisfaction, the hostess told us we could either go outside and wait again, or sit at the bar while one of us just stands. We had asked if they could keep an eye out for any tables that were emptied during our stay and if we could be moved there, but this only happened after a lovely waitress spotted us and realised our discomfort. Extremely Underwhelming for a Main Course

This dish was presented as a main, yet the portion was more fitting for a canapé. For €22, I received a tiny square of salmon—perhaps a quarter of a standard fillet—a small dot of sweet potato purée, and a garnish of spiral vegetables. While the plating was neat, the portion size bordered on insulting.

Adding to the disappointment, the wine was served in unusually small glasses—clearly chosen to accommodate smaller pours. It felt measured to the last drop, more like a token than a proper drink.

Gourmet cuisine is about quality, balance, and finesse—not serving minimal food and calling it elevated. This felt more like cost-cutting than culinary creativity. Disappointing and absolutely not...

I want to share about a really bad experience with reservation. I had a birthday and I called 1 day before to make a reservation, first they told me that they have a walk-in policy, but I told them that I have a birthday and they said yes, it’s okay, so I made a reservation. On my birthday I came with 4 people and I expected 2 more but the hostess told me that she doesn’t understand how it’s possible that I made a reservation because they have a private event so they didn’t let us in.
