Elysium Capital Residence — Hotel in Nicosia

I stayed in the Elysium for 6 months while I was studying in Cyprus. From the moment I got there, I felt at home. Eleni and her father Theo (the owners) were there to greet me and the contract was signed over a glass of wine and a chat that went on an hour! I have never received such a friendly and personal welcome anywhere I lived and it continued that way for the duration of my stay. I really cannot say enough good things about Eleni and Theo, They became like my family while I was in Cyprus and I always knew I could call them if I had any problems at all. I look forward to seeing them again. Make sure to indicate your arrival time before you get to Elysium so that Eleni or Theo are there to welcome you.||||As for the residence itself, it is very clean and comfortable. I was very happy to live there for 6 months and I wrote a lot of my master's thesis in my room at Elysium! The wifi connection is included in the price and is very fast. The rooms are serviced once a week. There is air conditioning (very important in hot Nicosia!) and there is a fully equipped kitchen and a fridge on every floor.||||The location is perfect. In a very nice part of Nicosia with shops, restaurants, bars and everything else you might need nearby. I really recommend that you eat in Mario's which is just across the road! The landlord agreed to a higher rate if I stayed for a month, and a lower rate if I stayed longer than a month. He asked me to pay a deposit of 400 Euros. I ended up only staying a month and i asked him to charge me the higher rate that we originally agreed upon. I notified him that I was leaving 2 weeks before I left but he kept quiet and did not respond until the end of the month when I was leaving. A day before I left he told me he was not going to return my deposit. The reason he did not respond to me earlier is because he knew I was leaving soon.
