Babylon Bar — Restaurant in Nicosia

Drinks and food. So simple, so good! A really friendly bar, where you can enjoy a drink from a balanced variety of beers, wine, ciders and of course all time classics. Anything on the food menu is really really tasty: Cheese nachos are a must combined with your favourite drink, but if you are in a need of a more satisfying and complete hunger elimination, try any of the dishes from the menu. Whatever we have tasted was really delicious. Portions are of a fair quantity. Service is nice and friendly, can be not so fast in a crowded day, but it is definitely worth ordering. Take into account that is recommended you make a reservation prior to any visit on busy weekends or holidays. As for the place, well it is exactly what you expect from a spot where you can have a nice time listening to good music, see a lot of people, enjoy your drinks and food and even play (or watch) a billiard game if you like. Atmosphere is warm and nice at winter, interior is really cozy (fireplace included) and bar looks special. As for summer nights or for a cool outside experience -in a garden style- a loot of tables are available for your convenience. Screens for watching an interesting game or race are also outside, but won't affect the really good music that you will enjoy. People are cool here and you can be too! A must go...

The place is lovely and the food is decent. Staff is friendly. Like most places in CY they refuse to serve you tap water and make you buy bottled water. What's even worse this place won't serve you big bottles of water, just small ones. Huge waste of plastic. Their excuse was that you can't drink tap water. Just put a filter like most businesses and households in CY Nicosia do. Problem solved. Another issue was that they wouldn't allow us to pay the bill using more than two credit cards. That was an issue since we all had credit cards and no cash. Lovely place but not very customer friendly I am afraid. Wouldn't bother to visit again. Plenty of other places to drink and dine in, in Nicosia, with a more customer friendly policy.

Sadly Babylon used to be much better! i have been going there for more than 15 years and things have changed,as it is normal,but not for the better Nowadays you need a reservation to go there(also on week days).For example you go there at 1900 and because the place is fully reserved for 2030 you cant find a table... Service remains ok but it used to be better. Billiard and billiard sticks are dirty and most are broken... Beer isnt cold anymore(the real beer lovers will understand what i mean) Prices...prices are going up constantly the last 3-4 years and some dishes have seen an increase of3-4 euros...for the exact same dish!Which to be honest it isnt the best place to snack Guy at the bar(i think he is now one of the owners is extremely rude) .People who work there are very good though Also parking place... you can hardly find a parking slot Overall it is ok.but not what it used to be and for such prices etc there are much better bars...
