Yummy India Restaurant — Restaurant in Nicosia

Really wanted to like it here, but everything was a bit peculiar.

We ordered starters and mains. The waiter brought us some popaddums and dips, which were tasty.

I ordered onion bhaji which looked delicious, but tasted very much like KFC. Curry and rice was unremarkable, naan bread was good.

The service wasn't good at all. I wondered at first if this was to do with language, but I think it was just incompetence.

We ordered two Coke Zeros. They weren't brought, but a large bottle of water was, along with ice. We asked again for the drinks order as the mains were served. They were brought as we were finishing our food.

The restaurant was quite hot, it has been almost 40° in Nicosia today. We were the only customers inside. The air-conditioning wasn't switched on, but a staff member pointed a fan at us from the other side of the restaurant. Why he didn't bring it closer when he could see we were uncomfortable, I don't know.

When it came time to pay, we were asked to wait while the credit card machine charged up, as if it had been in a drawer and not used before.

It wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't good either. I eat out a few times a month, and this is the first time I have not left a gratuity for many months,...

Horrible food and even worse customer service. I would give zero stars if I could. Only ate here once and I am never eating here again. I recommend you do the same. Delivery forgot a big part of my order. It took an hour for them to bring my food, which I suppose is normal. but after realizing they forgot parts of my order, it took an extra HOUR AND A HALF to bring the rest of my food. The manager didn't seem to care, as he kept saying "the delivery person is in your area, he will be there in 10 minutes" for over an hour. I recommend India India or Fry Menu over this place. If Yummy refund my disastrous experience called 'dining at yummy India,' i would not have even bothered to to write this well...

Coming to this restaurant is wasting your money and playing with your health. Their staff doesn’t use cap, gloves and cooking clothes, the cooking and dishwashing area at the same place, doesn’t have a special machine for dishwashing, they use today’s materials for other days also, they sale the frozen chicken as fresh chicken and most of the materials for the starter food are expired, anyone who visit this restaurant they can see all these things what I mentioned, in case of need of have proof also from what I said. My suggestion to all my brothers and sisters is to please be careful & don’t play with...
