My mum and I stayed at the Mini Art House in Nicosia, Cyprus for a week as we were visiting my sister, who was attending the local university for 5 months. Our apartment was number 7 on the fourth floor which gave us brilliant views of the city|| ||However we were told we had to pay in cash on the day of arrival and no card payments were accepted. So we took the money with us to then find a receipt had been left to say they had taken a card payment!!! We also had to contact them to collect keys which was a little confusing and we did expect to meet them there as we can see from other reviews, this was the case. ||||So the apartment was clean and modern with what looked like all amenities. However the most frustrating thing was we could not get Wi-Fi and had to go to local shops and restaurants. We did contact the owner who informed me they would carry out checks and were helpful but it still didn't work. On the last night however I did get internet for a couple of hours so not sure whether it was the Wi-Fi or our phones. ||||The washing machine didn't work which is fine as we were only there for a week but as its there we expected it to work. The hot water is run by solar panels which meant we had no hot water for two days as we had no sun the previous days and as far as we were aware, we did have a back up for the hot water. The apartment has no oven and just a hob which reduces that amount of things you can cook. PLEASE BE WARNED - the electrics in this place are lethal and we will be reporting this as a major problem to whom we booked the apartment through. ||||The positives were the location was good if you don't mind walking, beds were comfy, nice clean apartment, the owners were very pleasant and did make sure we had everything we needed. The views are great of the city and we did feel safe. ||||Myself and my mum wouldn't stay at this apartment again, and I would not recommend this to anyone staying a good length of time as it was manageable for a week....
Read moreWe stayed for over a week in Apartment #3 in Mini Art House. It was excellent. The apartment was clean and neat, and everything we needed was available. The kitchen utensils might have been lacking a bit - no spatula, for example - but we managed perfectly well. The apartment has not one, but 2 air conditioners, so that in spite of warm weather mid-day, we were always comfortable. We walked to local restaurants, and also to the major grocery store, which was somewhat of a hike - perhaps you could ask Lucrezia to provide a shopping cart if you don't have a car. Taxis were inexpensive - 5 or 6 euros to almost anywhere we wanted to go, including to the crossing into the Turkish sector. This was a lovely...
Read moreThe ambiance of the place as soon as you walk through the door is so peaceful. It is modern, clean and everything was functional. Walking distance to the office and to the centre. Restaurants and shop close by, i thought i could ask for no more, Surprise!! The landlord takes her business to a personal level, checking that everything is as to be expected. In ten days, the apartment was cleaned twice, she even washed my pan :) I would not consider going anywhere else when i come back to Nicosia. Truly a wonderful experience, a home away from home. ...
