We stayed at the Flora Hotel Apartments at beginning of October. The apartments were roomy and clean with a small balcony facing the main strip. We ere on the 4th floor so had a view of the sea. ||The mattresses were really hard but the aircon worked well and there was enough storage space with a safe available. The door to our room didn’t close properly, you had to slam it closed. The cleaners left our door open the whole day whilst we were out, luckily nothing was stolen. ||The staff at the hotel were friendly, especially the waiter serving our food. We opted for half board which was a huge mistake. We ate at the restaurant next door to the Flora, Georgias Alvi Restaurant and it was awful. We had only a few options, 2 spaghetti options, hardly any meat or sauce, a Greek dish which looked like dog food on couscous and calamari. We were made to feel like paupers only having a cheap meal even though we had paid for this in our half board option. We are there twice, giving it a second chance but it was terrible. We ate out every other night. The breakfast at the Flora sports bar was much better and had a few options so no complaints in relation to the breakfast.||The apartments are situated in a very busy part of the strip surrounded by numerous bars. The windows aren’t double glazed so you will hear a lot of loud noise until about 2am. It’s pretty obvious when you choose these apartments that it will be noisy so shouldn’t come as a surprise. ||It’s only a 2 star so for the cost of bed and breakfast it’s ok, don’t waste your money on half board. The hotel should stop offering this as the restaurant next door where food is offered is letting them down. ||I wouldn’t book here again but for a budget traveller then it’s ok, rooms...
Read moreStayed here for a week at the beginning of the 2025 season.|Our apartment was basic but clean. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The shower had a mind of its own and had to be used as a handheld shower as if you could even get it to stay attached the water flooded the whole bathroom.|My friend struggled to sleep at night as the music at night was very loud although to be expected as on the main strip.||Breakfast was ok although for the first 2 days heavy rock was being played not the gentle music you would like to listen to whilst eating breakfast on holiday.||Have to agree with other reviews about the poor evening meal in the restaurant next door we were made to feel very unwelcome and the food was not good my friend had a ‘chicken’ dish which to this day we still don’t know what she ate but it wasn’t chicken. We only ate there the first night and ate elsewhere for the rest of the time. Don’t waste your money by going half board it’s really not worth it and much better places to eat for a very reasonable price.||The staff at the flora were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you.. allowing us to keep the room until the evening on our last day at no extra cost to accommodate us for a late flight home.||We didn’t use the pool during our stay as it didn’t look very inviting or clean with lots of dirt on the bottom blown in from an adjoining car park.|The flora is situated in a good place with the beach less than 5 minutes away and bus stop outside with regular buses. |Supermarket is pretty much opposite so very handy for getting basics like water.||If I was returning to Protaras I wouldn’t stay here again, although the staff are lovely there are too many other things that...
Read moreI liked the location of the hotel, for a 2 star hotel the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, the staff at the bar and at the reception were great, smiling, helpful, I didn't like the half board because you only choose breakfast from a pre-printed menu where you can choose American, English, continental breakfast, pancakes and omelettes. If you choose pancakes, you get 3 pieces topped with Nutella, which is not enough for a guy. Dinner is the same printed menu, the selection is poor, after a week of staying it doesn't taste good anymore, then we bought food, or... they wanted to pay extra which ultimately wasn't even a great price, you pay for drinks with dinner, for breakfast you get watered down Nescafe coffee, juice or tea included, because the hotel is in the center you will be awake until 2am because loud music from the bars is playing, the cockroach in the hallway fortunately not in the room, the pool is terrible even though the photo does not match the description, the furniture is old-fashioned, the hotel parking lot is small because it is for both the restaurant and the hotel, the old man of the restaurant is probably the owner unsympathetic, impatient, it happened to me that I ordered a pizza that I didn't finish, the employees finished it😄if I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it but because we had access to the hotel through the restaurant I saw it with my own eyes, some white towels do not meet the hygiene standard, dirty, the balcony is small, outdated hotel, we chose the hotel based on positive reviews not only from Zen Hotels but also from Booking but it did not meet my...
