The Black Bull Burger and Grill — Restaurant in Paralimni

This is a fantastic little family restaurant with amazing burgers and the best ribs in Protaras.

I knew when I saw on the menu that these guys use a Kamado BBQ to smoke their ribs on that I was in good hands and I was right.

I had the BBQ sauce ribs and my partner had the Jack Daniels sauce on hers, both were fantastic and she couldn't finish hers as they were very generous with the portion sizes, luckily I was there to help and yes, I polished off the lot.

Oh and the chips! We all know that Cyprus is well known for producing some of the best potatoes in the world in that famous red soil you'll see if you pass through the mountains and villages. Well those famous potatoes have been cooked fresh (not frozen) lovingly by the chef here from scratch and they are divine.

Light and fluffy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside with a delicious crunch. I'd suggest you order a side of the Jack Daniel's sauce to dip them in, as you'll be finishing them all.

We've been there twice now and plan to go for our last meal here too before jetting back home, it's that good.

I had an excellent experience at this burger place. I tried the Black Bull Burger with patty and pulled pork, and it was absolutely delicious, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.

The whole restaurant was spotless: clean toilets, clean dining area, and even a clean kitchen you can feel confident about. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and aren’t just trying to upsell.

For example, I asked for spicy mayonnaise (which is charged as an extra sauce on the menu), but the lady owner kindly told me, “You don’t need to get this, I’ll bring you mayonnaise and spicy sauce which is on the house,” which is basically the same thing if you mix them. My wife also asked if she should order the 185g or the 250g burger, and the owner honestly said the 185g was more than enough, which turned out to be true. That kind of honesty is rare and very much appreciated.

Overall, this place serves great food with integrity and heart. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quality...

I saw the 5* rating on Google and as you can imagine, I was curious to see if the score was justified. It absolutely was! The restaurant is spotless. The staff are great and they create a relaxed atmosphere with an attentive, yet casual, type of service. They don’t rush you through your courses and you are left to enjoy your food without the pressure of customers waiting on tables etc - very different to the UK! The menu is a good size and they will happily cater to any changes that you would like to make to the burgers.

Most importantly, it is excellent value for money. We had the chicken drumstick starter, 2 Icon Burgers (I had an extra patty in mine), 2 cheesy fries, 3 beers, 2 cokes and a bottle of water. All for €53!!!

I LOVE burgers and I can confidently say that this is the best burger I have ever had....
