Biskupský pivovar a Ubytování U sv. Štěpána — Hotel in okres Litoměřice

We didn't know what to expect from this our cheapest Accommodation from Prague to Stendal. We were on the ElbeRadWeg, and one of the biggest delights of the whole trip was coming across places like this one. What a gem. ||After managing to attain access through the large electric gate round the next street we were shown to the garage where our bikes slept. The receptionist didn't speak a word of English but her smile never left her, and we got by just fine with a lot of giggling!.||Rooms were lovely and spacious, new and well kept. Two twins with a loo and bathroom between. ||But the best bit was to come; There was a brewery there, so good beer, and cheap - the best rural Czechia could provide! We dined outside in the warm evening shade. The menu wasn't vast, but the food was tasty, well prepared and beautifully presented. The waiter was only too pleased to practice his English translating the dishes. Hostel je umístěn v dobré lokaci, pokud cestujete vlakem, je to jen přes 2 ulice z horního nádraží (nějakých 500 metrů). Za frekventovanou ulicí před hlavním vchodem do hostelu bývaly městské hradby - to znamená že jste od starobylého centra co by kamenem dohodil. Od hostelu vlevo po 2 minutách chůze narazíte na gotický hrad, za protější budovou je kostel sv. Vojtěcha, pokud z hlavního vchodu zabočíte 2x doprava, můžete si dát drink v bývalé městské katovně.

Byl jsem ubytován v pokoji do 500 Kč. Jde mi jen o to někde přes noc složil hlavu v klidném a čistém prostředí. Co se vybavenosti týče, zařadil bych pokoj mezi nízké střední standarty, pokud jste náročnější, máte na výběr ještě jiné typy pokojů. Na pokoji by se hodila malá lednička pro uskladnění základních potravin a nápojů. V koupelně chybělo obyčejné tekuté mýdlo, jeden malý sáček sice najdete na posteli, ale ten buď vypotřebujete večer, a na ráno vám nic nezbyde, pokud jste šetřiví, není ve sprchovém koutě sáček kam dát. OK. Detaily. Jinak v noci klid, ale bývám vždy tak uchozený, že "ztrácím vědomí" rychle a spolehlivě...

Vrátnice funguje po celou noc, vedle ní je v budově pivovar a restaurace, kde bohužel trochu vázne obsluha. Pokud chcete nějakou romantiku, centrum starého města máte také přibližně půl kilometru jižně. Wifi je v hostelu zdarma, po zhruba 45 sekundách jsem ale přepnul zpět na mého operátora, protože nešla načíst ani standardní stránka zpravodajského webu.

The hostel is placed in a good location - if you are traveling by train, it is just over 2 streets from the upper station (some 500 meters). Over the busy street in front of the main entrance to the hostel, there used to be city walls - that means you are very close to the ancient center of the city. From the hostel to the left after 2 minutes walk you will find a Gothic castle, across the opposite building it´s worth seeing the Church of St. If you turn 2 corners right from the main entrance, you can have a drink in the pub which was formerly the executioner´s house.

I was staying in a room up to 500 CZK. It's just about to rest somewhere in a quiet and clean environment overnight. As for the facilities and overal impression, I would put the room between low intermediate standards, but if you are more demanding, you can choose other types of rooms. A small refrigerator for storing basic food and beverages inside the room would be fine. There was no ordinary liquid soap in the bathroom, one small sachet can be found on the bed, but you either use it in the evening, and there is nothing left for you in the morning, if you wanna save some, you dont have any space to put it in. OK. Details. Otherwise, at night no fuss or noise bothered me, but I'm always so tired of walking that I literally lose my consciousness quickly and reliably...

The reception works all night, next to it there is a brewery and a restaurant where, unfortunately, the service is a ... ... ... pretty slow. If you want to enjoy some romance while having a dinner, the center of the old town is about half a kilometer south. Wifi is free in the hostel, but after about 45 seconds I switched back to my operator because it was not even possible to load the standard...

I used this hostel for 5 nights during a conference in the Litomerice Culture Centre just 5 minutes away. It was very convenient and quiet (except for a few banging doors). I rented a room with kitchenette and bathroom. Very clean - if slightly hard beds. Breakfast very reasonable. Total price less than 20 euros per night.
