Liked · Check-in/out was quick and easy thanks to the instructions we received before arriving -- along with the public parking options also given beforehand. We were not made aware of any on-site parking offered here. We did have the basic necessities provided for our 3-night stay. Breakfast would have been good if you were one of the first to arrive - during our stay it was first come, first served. Not once during our stay were any of the containers/foods refilled. The one saving grace that enticed us to remain for our full 3-night stay, was the in-room AC. |Disliked · I am giving this rental accommodation a low rating because of a variety of reasons; the main one being the numerous liberties made in the room booking description. Our room (#3) was not at all as described on the site - it was dark, small and cluttered with an excess of furniture in the very small space. Many of the room booking descriptives were available to us only as shared hotel amenities OUTSIDE of our room. So list them as that, hotel amenities not as room inclusions! |Of the things provided in our room, several of them weren't working, or poorly working at best - to name a few, the bathroom sink was practically clogged, the bathroom drying rack non-functional, and the AC remote batteries were dead (but luckily the TV remote batteries were the same size and had some life left in them, but not much). The only window in our room opened onto the shared terrace where smoking was allowed, so we had to keep it closed at all times to avoid the smoke, as well as to get any peace and privacy from anyone lounging on the terrace. Additionally, our room door was right beside the door out to the terrace, which was left open much of the time, so the cigarette smoke wafted inside, into the short hallway to our room, into our room, as well as into the shared kitchen/eating area on the other side of our room. One last point I would like to make is how understaffed this penzion appears to be. We only saw 1 woman working here at any one time, and we saw only 2 different women in total during our stay. Every time we were eating breakfast we noticed whichever woman was working, she was running back and forth between the breakfast/kitchen area (washing dishes and/or laundry) to the other areas of the penzion, doing cleaning...
Read moreYou read these reviews and it seems like someone else's problem but this happened to us... We booked a room at Penzion Macha in Litomerice, and received detailed instructions for pre check-in, sounds good, right? We followed their communication instructions and went to our room, unpacked, took a shower, and were ready for dinner after a long day of biking only to have someone come to our room saying this was the room they reserved. They too had pre check instructions including the entry code. We collectively called the management and the manager informed us that she made a mistake and calendared our reservation for the previous month. The manager said she would rebook us in a comparable room and send a taxi. Why is this a problem? A) We were unpacked and settled in to a room we reserved, then had to repack and move to an unfamiliar area. B) The room we were forced to relocate to was not comparable. It was in an older hotel which was not updated. C) The experience ruined an evening of our valuable vacation. Please learn from our experience and book a room...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Litoměřice, this small guesthouse boasts an excellent location, providing easy access to the town's attractions. The rooms are impeccably clean, with comfortable beds ensuring a restful night's sleep.
Guests can look forward to a satisfying breakfast, adding to the overall positive experience. However, one minor inconvenience was the unnecessarily early morning cleaning, which disrupted our sleep. Additionally, the proximity of one of the rooms (Vilém) to the kitchenette wasn't ideal.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the guesthouse is certainly worth a visit for its cleanliness, comfort, and...
