Hotel Bedřiška Wellness Resort & Spa Špindlerův Mlýn — Hotel in okres Trutnov

Stayed two nights with the whole family. In general we liked our stay just were surprised by some drawbacks:||Rooms: ||Comfort rooms - renovated ones in the main building. We liked the room’s design, comfy beds.||Disliked the strange “caste” system, especially during breakfast. As a Comfort room guest you have to pay for any item not being on the breakfast buffet while De Luxe room guests have that as complimentary. ||Since there was a small difference in price between Comfort and De Luxe rooms we found this ridiculous. Especially when the breakfast buffet was rather very simple (ham, cheese, spread, cake) + cold fried eggs which were obviously pre-cooked upfront. The next day scrambled eggs were served for the breakfast (this time warm) instead so it was OK but honestly speaking having travelled all around the world I have never experienced the breakfast conditions being different for various room categories…. |You have also other limitations such as different check-out times, 1 hour limited wellness time etc but this is something I could live with :-)||Wellness:||Pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi. Was good, didn’t feel crowded despite the fact the relax are is rather small with just 6 beds to relax||Restaurant:||Mixed feelings. While the service was superb the quality of the dishes was sometimes dissapointing - e.g. salmon with parmesan risotto - the rice served with the fish was anything but risotto (why you have such an item on the menu if you can’t cook risotto?). The fish fillet was tasty but we all found so many bones in it…. Asparagus was totally over cooked instead of being crisp etc..|It is a pity given the fact the service was so professional…. If the food quality was better it would have been for sure one of the top restaurants..||However if you’re considering staying in Bedriska Hotel - don’t get confused by my comments though, this hotel is still a very good choice for your stay in Spindleruv Mlyn, just be mindfull of its drawbacks which will be hopefully addressed by the management in...

The hotel is well located and only a 10 minute walk to the Medvedin slope in a ski outfit. The breakfasts are varied and tasty, but be careful because not all rooms are privileged with an extended menu. I highly recommend this option because otherwise the choice of dishes is limited. Our rooms were in the building next to the main hotel, so we had to go to the wellness and restaurant through the courtyard, which was not clear when booking. It was not a big problem, and even sometimes a plus, because in the hotel building there is a smell of chlorine from the pool. Going to wellness is also a problem because you have to walk in a bathrobe through the restaurant to the spa area. I don't know why, but if you would like to use the toilet during breakfast, it is occupied by kitchen and restaurant staff (I suspect so from my 6-day observations :) ). The rooms are 4 star class and Nespresso coffee is a nice addition in the morning. Unfortunately, the big downside of this hotel is the lack of a lobby where you could sit with your friends and have a drink together and play games (the rooms are too tight for 6 people) in the evening. One of the newest hotel in the town! All in one place, great accommodation with option for wellness, and nice restaurant with a bar. Clean and cozy rooms, nice and friendly personnel. All rooms are located in the wing buildings, the older wing is separated, the guests need to walk outdoor to the main building across the restaurant towards the wellness section. The rooms are well equipped, very comfortable beds, huge TV, fast wifi, nespresso mashine, vestures, … I had Deluxe services which covered a free wellness use, otherwise it’s only for charge. Probably this is the compensation for the short outdoor walk. The rooms in the older bldg have own terraces where doors are also the entrance door, it opens directly to the backyard and garden. In the room there was no temperature control, it was set for constant 22C, I had to call the frontdesk to set warmer. The restaurant offers tasty and fancy food in the menu, the price tags are shiny too. The staff is very polite, breakfast was very good. Private parking with surveilance, absolutely safe everything. Wellness was awesome, warm water in the pool and jacuzzi too, modern quiet sauna with a separate bar. Perfect...
