Hotel Garni — Hotel in okres Zlín

This hotel is a good choice for a short stay on a business trip or if you travel on a sport event (there are sport hall and ice hockey stadium just few steps from the hotel, you can aslo get to a center after 10 min. walk) - the hotel could be a good choice for sport teams and their fans too. I would not suggest the hotel for spending a romantic weekend ... Although the hotel is a bit in old style of the communists days it has been renovated, the room equipment is quite new, nice bathrooms and overal the hotel is well maintained and clean. I would say good value, the staff is very pleasant and the place is well managed. The breakfast is simple but adequate to the level of the hotel. Wi-Fi was available on our room and it was fast enough. We have stayed for one night for a short sport trip and the hotel was good for what we expected and good value for the money paid - there were lower rates for...

I was invited to speak at the local university in Zlin and they booked this hotel on my behalf. It was absolutely fine for a short stay.||||There were a few minor issues: no room safe, sheets were threadbare/very thin, and doors did not lock automatically (you had to lock them with the key when leaving the room and when retiring for the night). Rooms include wifi but I could not get a signal in my room.||||On the plus side: room size was good, the bathroom was modern and very nice, and the location was perfect for my purposes - across the road from the university.||||Hotel had a restaurant downstairs near the lobby and there was also a Chinese restaurant on the second floor (we didn't eat at either so I can't vouch for them).||||In the end, I was only there for a night and this hotel was perfectly fine...

The hotel is situed close to the iceskater and i've booked for this reason, there was a Chris Norman' concert i've visited. The hotel seems to be built before the 90'th years for some business reasons, but it's still well preserved. There it is nothing extraordinary to compliment and nothing to complain about, it's only an OK hotel, maybe a little bit expensive for its quality. The hotel has not a restaurant to have a lunch, but inside, at the second floor, it is a good Chinesse restaurant. Breakfast was nothing special. If you are by car, you can park it for free in front of the hotel. In that night i was there, i couldn't sleep well because many young people celebrates something close to our windows and nobody from the hotel didn't asked them...
