Pension Austis — Hotel in okres Znojmo

Although my reviews of guesthouses are much more milder then reviews of hotels, my rating for Pension Austis can't be better than terrible. I don't know for whom it could be suitable accomodation. Except of location I can hardly remember any positive about that guesthouse.||||We choosed Penzion Austis because of its location - it is located in Vaclavske square, what is really heart of Znojmo - closest town centre, next to Horni square. And because of one festival which took place on Horni square and I wanted participate, we choosed that. ||||One advantage of the Penzion Austis should be own parking lot in the court. When we arrived there we had to wait quite a long time to any staff and because of it to park car in restricted zone. And then the staff was very incompetent. I mean it is only part time job for that 2 young people - probably students - to operate this guesthouse. And it is really very incompetent staff.||||If you want to park car in the pension park lot in court, you must manually operate the entrance gate and go through very tight entrance. ||||The room was simply tragedy. The room was not clean - even it was dirty here. Molds were everywhere. You can see mold on the wall, in bathroom, everywhere. Everythings smells oddly. You are afraid to touch anything or to stand on the floor. Curtains were burnt and yellowed. All our room was very wet. There is no ventilation so only one chance how to ventilate the room is open windows. Our room was in ground floor and the street is very eventful - everybody can see to your room - not good feeling.||||Sleeping comfort is terrible. Mattress is very worn and even springs were watching from it. In combination with wet enviroment you can't sleep there average. ||||Breakfast is tragedy as everything in that pension. The staff has prepared plates for guest. It is not possible to order anything else. Even you can't order glass or bottle of water! Served salami is green and cheese...

We stayed here as we wanted to see some castles around, and surprisingly found out that Znojmo is a beautiful city with a nice historical centre and beautiful surroundings over the Dyje river.|Pension Austis has a great location in directly in the centre. It is situated in an old building. Parking is possible in the private courtyard free of charge. Rooms are modest, equipped with older furniture and there is only a small TV, but the beds are comfortable. Our room was oriented to the court so it was really quiet. The biggest advantage of pension is, however, the lady at the reception. She is very nice and helpful. Upon arrival she gave us a map and explained what to see and where to eat. And afterwards, when we were facing a problem with our car, she very willingly made several phone calls and arranged a help for us. For small extra payment you can have a breakfast, which is served, continental one, not with a wide variety of meals, but still sufficient. You can drink as much coffee and tea to it as you want. For us this was a very pleasant stay with its charming atmosphere. For the future maybe the owner could invest into modernization of furniture so this place could be on the top of...

We really loved the hotel from the pictures we have seen. We even drove 3 hours from Prague to visit Znojmo. So imagine the shock when we checked into the room(large double room at website), and found moldy smell in the room. Well it did not ended there. I wanted to open the window only to find that handle of the window was left in my hand, and that windows are facing to the rush street with street level, and everyone can see into our room. Final touch was stucked shower door (could not close at all), dirty couch and webs at the ceiling. I have been there with my pregnant fiance, and i really didnt wanted to risk any health issues due to mold. We left...
