Everest Nepalese & Indian — Restaurant in okres Znojmo

We stopped by, intrigued by the prospect of trying out Nepalese cuisine. The waiter politely apologised and informed us that they are unable to serve certain nepalese dishes, because they want to make them fresh - and since not many people order them, they do not always have the ingredients ready. We settled for a few Indian dishes and they were all really good. After the meal, the staff suggested that they can make some Nepalese dishes for us if we come the next day. We agreed and had lunch there the next day - trying out the Nepalese cuisine. The picture shows the meal we were served - and it was even better than the Indian dishes. :) Despite the bland look of the restaurant, we found the service and the food to be excellent. We also found it charming that the Nepalese gentleman who waited our table was concerned about our wellbeing - suggesting we should not be drinking energising teas for dinner or eating slowly to properly enjoy the food. Von außen sehen das Restaurant und die Fassade gar nicht einladend aus. Die Öffnungszeiten sind dafür unschlagbar, gleich von 11 Uhr morgens an bis ca. 22 Uhr abends. Leider hatten wir uns die Preise bereits online angeschaut und da wir nur begrenzt CZK hatten, hatten wir uns das Menü bereits zusammen gestellt. Vor Ort waren die Preise leider ganz andere. Alle Getränke waren 20 - 30 CZK teurer, die Vorspeisen auch. Also konnten wir gar nicht das alles bestellen, was wir geplant hatten zu meinem Geburtstag. Wir mussten leider eine Vorspeise auslassen und mussten ein ganz anderes Hauptgericht bestellen, damit es sich wegen der aktuellen Preise und unseres Bugets ausging. Die Kellnerin war sehr lieb zu uns. Allerdings war das Personal von uns leicht überfordert. Wir haben unsere Gerichte nepalesisch scharf bestellt; daraufhin kam der Koch heraus, um uns zu begutachten und dachte sich vermutlich, dass wir Europäer sicherlich nicht so scharf essen können. Unser Essen wurde zwar schärfer gewürzte und die Kellnerin fragte uns mehrmals, ob alles in Ordnung sei – scheinbar hatte sie Angst, dass es uns zu scharf sein könnte. Mehr Schärfe hätten wir aber locker vertragen können - so wie ursprünglich bestellt. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, weitläufig und nett. Die WCs sind eher umständlich und nicht ganz so sauber oder einfach in die Jahre gekommen. Alles in Allem war das Essen sehr lecker und authentisch. Die Gewürzmischung war super. An Schärfen hätten wir uns mehr gewünscht und auch aktuellere Preise. So viele Preisunterschiede und Unstimmigkeiten sind wir von tschechischen Restaurants leider...

We were recommended to visit this restaurant by a friend. The surroundings and facilities are really shabby, but despite this the staff is very nice, smiling, you can communicate in simple Czech or English, and the food was absolutely delicious - and I'm not particular fan of Indian cuisine. On the menu you can see dishes sorted as mild or hot so you can choose what you like. Everything we had was really tasty. Definitely will go there again.
