Penzion U císaře Zikmunda — Hotel in okres Znojmo

The pension is a wonderfully converted and furnished place to stay. ||||The magnificent entrance has shades of the palace at Urbino with its stone stairs leading up to a delightful loggia with excellent paintings. The studio that we had was a large comfortable room with a well equipped kitchenette and luxurious bathroom. Good seating area with tv and wifi which all worked with no problems or hitches. The manager/owner? could not have been more helpful and served us each morning with a breakfast that could nave easily sufficed for four not two. On Easter Monday it included Easter eggs chocolate and lots of surprises - it showed the care and thought that went into looking after guests.||It was in the very centre of the old town and was accessible for all the historic delights that Znojmo has in abundance, also for the restaurants and bars that are also very good.||||It is certainly a place that we will go out of our way to stay at again when travelling...

Booked online as first stay over in Moravia cycle tour. We were "last of the season" cyclists and were let down by CZ rail . The lady owner went above and beyond to secure bicycle rentals at short notice including a quick service after the first days use. The accommodation was excellent, spacious, scrupulously clean and with the most comfortable bed we had in our 3 wks CZ stay. Comparable to good mid range US hotel but at much more reasonable price. Excellent fluffy towels! Lady owner spoke English better than our CZ or Google CZ translation. ||This is a suggestion not a criticism - other CZ accommodation had a small welcome pack of beer or wine and snacks. ||No hesitation in recommending and will stay here again when in Znojmo. All reviews I have read about the place are true. The place was perfect for us. We were all alone there. We could feel the history and mystery:). The place is beautifully redecorated, situated in the city center. Just in the middle of everything in the city. You should not miss the underground visit! ( just around the corner)||The room itself was the biggest we had ever had. It was like a flat:) Wow:) The bathroom was great too. Clean and modern.
