Lida Guest House — Hotel in Prague

We absolutely recommend staying here. This Guesthouse is in a beautiful, residential neighbourhood. It is very quiet and peaceful and it's nice to come home to after a busy day. Although it was in a residential neighbourhood, it was very easy to get to the city centre and to all the sights. It was a 15 minute tram ride or a 10 minute subway ride. And it was only a 5-10 minute minute walk to the tram or subway. There was a grocery store and some really nice restaurants nearby which made things convenient if we wanted to stay in the neighbour hood for a bit. There is also the beautiful 'Visheryad Palace' which you can walk to from the Guesthouse. The Guesthouse was neat and clean and our room was cleaned every day by a cleaning lady. Every morning there was an amazing breakfast ready for us including bread, cereal, fresh cold cuts, cheese, jam, yoghurt, fruit and danish. The hosts, Jan, Jitka, Jiri and Jana were very helpful and kind and made us feel welcome. They were more than willing to help. We saw Jan most of the time during our stay. He picked us up from the airport and helped carry our luggage to our room. Every morning he gave us tips on how to get to sights, what to see and where to eat (and what to avoid!!!!). Jan was very enthusiastic and passionate and gave us excellent recommendations. There was even a transit ticket available for us that we could use for our stay there. Our flight left later in the day and we were able to leave our luggage with them as well. It was a wonderful stay! We would definitely stay here again if we went...

I stayed at Lida for 5 days in April 2019. It is a simple and very well organized small hotel / hostel / guest house, whatever you want to name it. The room was simple but spacious, comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was great, the one you expect from at least 4 stars hotels. They have a very good breakfast buffet. ||The location is good, a 7 minutes walking distance from both metro & tram stations and also a walking distance from Vysehrad, one of the main attractions in Prague. It is only a few stations away from Prague 1 and the old town / Wenceslas square / Charles Bridge. The neighborhood is very quiet specially at night, away from the hustle and touristy mid-town Prague.||But it is all about the hosts. Jan & Jetka were in charge during my stay and they were very generous and extremely helpful. Jan helped me a lot daily in planning my day with details. He devotes a lot of time for each and everyone of his guests. He recommended a lot of theaters, museums, day trips & souvenir shops that really changed my trip and I'm very grateful for him.||I recommend Lida for all kinds of travelers, specially if you don't know much about Prague and you want a budget but...

Das Lida Guesthouse ist eine der empfehlenswertesten Unterkünfte in ganz Prag. Unser Gastgeber Jiri und seine Frau waren überaus freundlich und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Trotz unserer Berge an Gepäck half Jiri beim Hinauftragen der Koffer und lud uns im Anschluss auf Kaffee/Tee und eine ausführliche Information über Prag (inkl. Tipps für günstiges Essen - einige gute + günstige Restaurants in der Umgebung) ein. Jiri steht ständig für alle möglichen und unmöglichen Fragen bereit. ||||Fahrkarten für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel kann man direkt im B&B kaufen - sehr praktisch! Die Metrostation befindet sich ca. 7 Minuten neben dem Guesthouse; daneben ist auch ein kleiner Supermarkt. Mit der U-Bahn fährt man 3 Stationen zum Wenzelsplatz. Auch eine Fahrt mit der Straßenbahn ist zu empfehlen (Station angrenzend an die Metro), da man hier schöne Einblicke in die Stadt Prag bekommt. ||||Die Unterkunft selber ist sauber und gepflegt. Das Bad ist neu und modern eingerichtet (Badewanne) und es kommt täglich ein Zimmermädchen zum Betten machen. Das Flair der Gäste ist international; sehr viele BesucherInnen kommen aus Übersee. Das Guesthouse verfügt über einen kostenlosen W-lan Zugang, der aber nicht im ganzen Haus funktioniert. Es gibt einen eigenen Computerraum, in dem Gäste sich im Internet informieren können. ||||Das Frühstücksbuffet ist üppig und gut sortiert. Obwohl um 10 Uhr das Frühstück grundsätzlich beendet ist, wurden um 9.45 nochmals alles aufgefüllt. Jiri und seine Frau sind wirklich sehr bemüht, dass es den Gästen gut geht. Nach dem Frühstück verwandelt sich der Frühstücksraum in eine "große Minibar" - Gäste können sich Getränke aus dem Kühlschrank entnehmen, diese auf eine Liste eintragen und bei der Abreise bezahlen - zu sehr günstigen Preisen!||||Für Reisende die mit dem eigenen PKW unterwegs sind ist das Lida Guesthouse sehr gut geeignet. Einerseits liegt es in einer recht sicheren Wohngegend - Mutige können also den PKW auch auf der Straße (kostenlos) parken. Weniger Mutige können bei den Gastgebern einen Parkplatz vorreservieren - entweder im abgeschlossenen Hof des Nachbarn oder in der eigenen (und einzigen) Garage des Guesthouse (gegen Gebühr). Achtung: Die Garage ist sehr klein - der PKW sollte also nicht länger als 4,5 Meter lang sein! In nächster Nähe befindet sich auch eine öffentliche, bewachte Parkgarage (ist aber doppelt so teuer wie der Parkplatz im Lida).||||Insgesamt kann das Lida Guesthouse absolut weiterempfohlen werden - stimmiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und eine Herzlichkeit, die kaum zu...
