Staré Purkrabství — Attraction in Prague

Staré purkrabství je jednou z palácových staveb, které byly postaveny na královském okrsku za vlády Karla IV. ve druhé polovině 14. století. Kolem roku tu 1335 Karel IV. (tehdy markrabí moravský) sídlil se svou družinou během úprav královského paláce. Jako jediná přečkala plenění husitských oddílů v roce 1420 a to pravděpodobně proto, že zde bylo sídlo hospodářského správce Vyšehradu. V baroku byl palác přestavěn na citadelu. Současná podoba purkrabství pochází z 18. století a je dílem právě oné barokní přestavby pro potřeby vyšehradské pevnosti. Staré purkrabství bylo obnoveno v letech 2003 – 2005, kdy zde vznikl sál pro 90 diváků a kavárna.

The Old Burgrave's House is one of the palace objects built on the so called royal precinct during the reign of Charles IV., in the second half of the 14th century. Around the year 1335 Charles IV. (then Margrave of Moravia) resided here with his retinue during the reconstruction of the royal palace. It was the only building to survive the looting of the Hussite troops in 1420, probably because there was the seat of the economic administrator of Vyšehrad. In the Baroque style the palace was rebuilt into a citadel. The present appearance of the burgrave comes from the 18th century and is the result of the Baroque reconstruction for the needs of the Vyšehrad fortress. Very Underrated Prague view. It’s not very common coming here for foreign tourists, i recommend. From this spot you’ll have a great view of the south Prague with 2 island on the river and lot of nature. I’ve been here on sunset and it’s nice to take a walk also in the park close to this spot...

This is one of the natural beauty I've seen. Very beautiful place. On the one hand, the hills, the lower rivers, the blue sky above and the green forests around. Eyes go to jurai. Very nice trip Have fun There is a church, cafe, fast food too. There is a place to spend all the time....
