Sklep Restaurant – A Must-Visit in Prague
If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience in Prague, Sklep Restaurant is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a cozy atmosphere that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or a special occasion, Sklep delivers on all fronts.
The daily menu offers a fantastic selection of well-prepared dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I decided to try their cheeseburger, and it was an excellent choice. The beef patty was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and topped with melted cheese that added the perfect creamy touch. Served with crispy French fries, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in Prague!
I also tried the Chicken gyros with tzatziki, Greek salad, and fries, which was packed with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. If you’re looking for something more traditional, their Czech blood and liver sausage with parsley potatoes and cabbage is a hearty dish that truly captures the essence of local cuisine.
Beyond the food, the service was outstanding—the staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to provide great recommendations. The ambiance is relaxed yet inviting, making it a great spot for both locals and tourists.
With generous portions, reasonable prices, and consistently excellent food, Sklep Restaurant is a must-visit in Prague. Whether you’re craving a burger, Czech specialties, or something lighter, they have something for everyone!

Read moreI stayed for six weeks over August/September and it was such a great choice! My trip was for work, and it met my needs very well. The building/unit was very quiet. On the ground floor is a lovely bar/restaurant/beer garden with great prices and a great menu. The apartment (#36) was large and well equipped. It had a large closet, a big bed, an additional cot for a third guest, a dining table for two, and a kitchen with a washing machine. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Tons of hot water and great water pressure! Lots of bathroom storage as well. Transit into town couldn't be any better. The tram stop is right outside the door, and comes every few minutes. It's a very short walk too, if you want that option. Transit to the airport is 1 hour, and Uber/Bolt was 25 minutes and about $25-30 CAD. The only downsides were that the rooms can get very hot in the summertime (there is no air conditioning), and the hairdryer wasn't very good. Overall, this place is such a great find, and affordable too! I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone...
Read moreFirst impressions really good. Staff of the accomodation part was friendly and helpful. Nevertheless I was a witness of the restaurant staff being rude to the foreign customers and refusing to serve them, even though they had reservation and were polite (I wouldn't). It appeared that staff over reserved and they had no seats available. Since this happened in restaurant, it will not affect my rating. Yet I believe it is good to mention and keep in mind if you want to visit the restaurant. Regarding the apartment, the equipment was modern, plentiful, bed comfy, large shower... however the bathroom floor was kinda dirty and when I stepped out of the shower with wet feet, I stood in a small pool of "mud". I couldn't wrap my head around it, since the rest of the apartment was super clean. Breakfast covered the basics well - eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, bread and cut baguette, etc. - all tasty and fresh, totally acceptable. Overall I will visit again and I can recommend the accomodation...
