Very nice hostel in Prague 3. I had a very positive experience.
Staffs was available to help us enjoy our stay 24/24h. There is also the possibility of leaving the keys at the reception (you need a code to open the door provided as soon as you check-in) so you can enjoy the city without worrying about loosing them. Towels are not included (1€ each you can pay also in Czech crowns of course). On the reception two computers with internet connection are also available as well as a room with unlimited coffee and tea. Close to that, a yard with tables and chairs is available to chill and enjoy the weather outside (I came here in June).
Our room (called Thomas) was one of 10 beds, very spacey and enjoyable. Don't be scared about the number of people. It really didn't feel like 10, the space is more than enough and the room was really nice looking. Each one of the guest has a locker inside the room where to put the belongings, a rounded coffee table was available in the middle of the room with apposite chairs in the case somebody might need it. Each one of the guest has also his/her own night lamp. Wifi was perfect; super fast and always working no matter where we were inside the building. Also a plus that not all hostels have is the personal access of the electricity outlets no matter if you sleep on the upper or lower part of the bunk bed, with three electrical outlets per each person!! 👏🏻
As all the other guests we had two bathrooms available (single WC with toilet room and shower room + Girls/Boys bathroom high school style available in two different floors) so in the two nights I stayed there there was never a moment I had to wait to get into the bathroom and so did my girl friend.
A kitchenette is also available in each floor as well as a tight long balcony with little coffee tables and chairs.
Location is not that central but at the same time not too far away. It's close to the main stations of the city. Although we could have taken public transportation to move in the city center, we always decided to walk.
In conclusion, a pretty much positive experience. I recommend this place to anybody who wants to visit in Prague and wants to stay...
Read moreThe place is nice and clean, with a clearly visible well-lit nameplate. It is a 3-4 min walk from the nearest tram stop and if you know anything about the transport system in Prague, it is that trams work really well. ||||I stayed in a 20 people mixed dorm room. The room was very comfortable with good lockers and a clean bathroom/shower on the floor. The downside is that it was on the 4th floor, without a lift. So if you have a heavy luggage bag, it's going to be quite a climb. Female only or male only dorms occupy lower floors. ||||The place has a very nice common room and a courtyard where you can smoke and relax. The reception is open 24×7 and they sell 1 day travel cards (these are helpful because otherwise you'd have to seek the nearest metro station or tobacco shop which sells them). The WiFi is also fine. There are plenty of local shops in the nearby alleys and then on the main road. Prague Hlavni Nadrazi is one tram stop away, so thats very helpful even if you want to avail trains out of Prague (and if you want to buy additional tickets, for metro or tram or bus). ||||So overall, a good experience for a 3 day stay at this place. Good place to crash. If you're in Prague, I'm guessing you'd be out exploring the city the whole day anyway. ||||Easily a 9/10, with one point deducted for the possible difficult climb...
