La Casa Trattoria — Restaurant in Prague

I ate there and left heartbroken by so much hate. At the end of the dinner, and waiting for a while trying to get the attention of the waiter, I decided to get up to pay. As soon as i reached the bar, he just handed me the card machine ( didn't even ask what form of payment I wanted) while i was still dressing up. I asked for the bill but he fused to give it. Said it was not the way and that i had to "trust" and pay directly. That it was his way here. I insisted on getting it and he started to get very agitated. After refusing to pay without having the physical bill he got very upset, printed it while shouting in italian and throw it at me. I said I was getting very uncomfortable and I would rather finish the transaction with the waiter standing next to us. He yelled he was the Cashman and that he was the one dealing with it and refuses my request. At that point I was too chocked and honestly scared of his behavior, so I didn't even brang up the fact that he charged me for extra cheese withiut warning. I just wanted to get out. I just said that he has been very rude since the beginning of my dinner, to which he replied he didn't want to serve someone like me in the first place ( a black woman). He pulled out my card ticket and throw it at me again. I looked at the waiter hoping for some support but he just stand there looking at me.

I left gutted and still can't believe something like that had happened. I came to have a nice dinner by myself and left with the worst experience rac*st experience of my life.

Please avoid and don't support business like this. Spend your money on places that cultivate love and...

The customer service was poor — probably because we came around 9 pm [the operation hours are until 11 pm]. Saying “poor” I mean that I felt unwelcome there. Plus, the brisk gestures of the waiter conveyed a subtle sense of annoyance in response to our presence. I have to admit that I got used to the warm and inviting hospitality found in Canada, where staff often ask about your well-being, food satisfaction, and dessert preferences before to issue a bill, I naturally expected an approximate level of service. Despite the restaurant boasting an enchanting ambiance and delectable cuisine, the discordant demeanor of the waiter unfortunately cast a shadow over our experience. I doubt that I want to bring here the rest of my family.

I wanted to try a new place I was never before and went to Casa Trattoria Zizkov for the mussels. Will definitely return one day to try some other things from their menu as the place had a great vibe both inside and outside. Zizkov can be rough but the restaurant is placed in a nice location with a lot of streetlife around. Have to say thanks to the guy serving us as it was a relief to see somebody who obviously enjoyed what he was doing and who understand that some small talk with customers is the way to get customers back. A real cosy place which is great for some italian dinner for 2 with fish and/or pasta or to enjoy with a group of friends. They have a second restaurant in the center but even though I did not visit this one personally, I would definitely return to the Zizkov one as it felt more like "the...
