I travel a lot and I've been to soooo many hotels. The least exciting one for me is picking a hotel in Copenhagen. They are overpriced, below average, and the hygiene levels are always questionable, which in my opinion is unacceptable, but hospitality is not a priority here, so there is not much to do about it. Mekano really surprised me, because their prices are super fair, and they exceeded my expectations in regards to the mentioned points earlier. Room: exactly what we needed, and super clean. Hygiene: top. There is even a vacuum, so if you are staying for a longer duration, you can easily clean up. Location: the metro station (Sluseholm st.) is just a walking distance away, and it is only 5 minutes away from central Copenhagen. The location of the hotel is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to keep away from noises and crowds, but close enough to anywhere else. Equipment: the room is very well equipped with all the basics, and you will most likely not need anything other than a bit of groceries which you can keep in the fridge. Service: they are incredibly accommodating. They rearranged and told us ahead of time when we contacted them if we could check-in a little bit earlier than the designated time due to the time we arrived. Otherwise they are very quick to get back to you if you have any questions and inquiries. It is a bonus on my side, when a hotel checks up on you in the middle of your trip, to see if everything is okay. Great service! Misc.: they have an idea to store luggage for you, and they have laundry facilities available if needed. Fast Wi-fi is also available, and is not the usual slow as a snail you'd find in hotels. Accessibility: bathroom was handicap accessible, and the door frame allows to pass with a wheelchair (there is no strange step on the floor/ground).
100% I will rebook next time...

Checked in today after visiting Gothenburg. Location is close to the subway station -- it was a very quick trip from Central Station to the nearest metro stop (Sluseholmen St.) and a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The room is spacious and clean, especially appreciate the hard flooring and being able to open the glass door to the balcony to let in the cool breeze. It is very quiet and in a nice area of Copenhagen near South Harbor (can hear seaguls in the background) - we plan to swim in the harbor tomorrow morning. The Italian market (Supermarco) is a fifteen-minute walk and wonderful! We stocked up on a few items to be able to prepare a few meals in the kitchenette. Having washer/dryers onsite is also wonderful. I was worried about there not being an elevator as we are on a 10-day trip for a conference and brought large suitcases. Was very relived to see the electric luggage lift when we arrived through the door with the laundry room/luggage lockers as the ground floor is elevated and it would have been difficult to carry the luggage up the...
Read moreWe stayed here while we were in town for the Copenhagen Hyrox event. The hotel staff was super accommodating and quick to check if we needed anything throughout the stay. The location was perfect; we got to the event easily by bus and also took the metro to quickly get into the city center for shopping and meals. The apartment itself was very clean and had many amenities. We loved the higher ceilings, nespresso machine and most of all the heated floors of the bathroom! They even had complimentary washer and dryer with detergent which is great for those with longer stays. I will definitely look to stay here again the next time we go...
