This restaurant was a great pleasure to visit – whether you are seeing sites in Copenhagen or attending a tradeshow, this restaurant provides a delightful and relaxing dining experience. Nestled in a residential neighborhood, next to a peaceful, small lake, the décor is quiet sophistication with maximum light and views of the water. Spiseriet Teglholmen is expertly run by Mikkel Borgstrom, with many years of experience in high-end hotel service, he brings his passion for food and wine to this intimate setting that inspires delight and relaxation as you enjoy the plates (fresh, farm-to-table produce) from his kitchen. I brought a party of 30 people, and at the last minute, had to add another 6. Mikkel and his team didn’t miss a beat and quickely added the additional seating to our dinner room. The dinner itself was a great experience, my guests really enjoyed the dishes in our 4-course menu, along with the expertly matched wines, and all were delighted by Mikkel’s course introductions. The main course was served 90 min after sitting down, at this point we were dining in the dark. We even used the phone torch to be able to see the food. This is just sad
The food was equally disappointing. If I order "burrata with cherrytomato salad" I expect more than 1½ cherrytomatos. The tatar showed much oxidation discoloration. The ribeye was overpriced for what it is, but that is unfortunately the Copenhagen norm. The vegetarian burger was literally uneatable. Despite waiting 90min for a main course and being very hungry I could not even eat half. This is the worst burger I have tried in 10 years of being a vegetarian. The cheese, bun & pickles are actually fine, it is the patty that is beyond horrendous.
Regarding service, this was non existent. It is at the point where the staff does not even turn around as they are answering a question. In addition napkins and cutlery was not provided for the whole table. Jeg går ud fra, mit firma har aftalt menuen med restauranten på forhånd, så dette var ikke deres skyld. Af de forretter, de har, havde firmaet valgt den med laks. Det var nok aftenens bedste ret m. fin laks og dressing og én skive brød til. Det var dog det sidste, vi så til brød den aften.
Men hvad hvis man ikke spiser fisk? En af mine kolleger havde dagen forinden gjort opmærksom på netop det og blev lovet samme ret med omelet som erstatning. Desværre for ham, da forretten blev serveret, var der alligevel ikke nogen vegetarudgave til ham. Personalet havde ingen forklaring på hvorfor, men køkkenet kunne ikke engang lave en til ham! Rystende. Han blev pænt forsøgt givet retten med fisk hele to gange, hvortil han til sidst måtte sige "nej, jeg vil altså ikke have den" og fik derfor ikke nogen forret.
Hovedretten var pasta med vodka, og vi kunne vælge ml. Burrata-ost eller stegt unghane. Unghanen og tomatsaucen var okay, men pastaen var skamkogt, så selv en tandløs kunne tygge den.
Mht. drikkevarerne blev der stillet karafler på bordene, men de indeholdt maks 3 glas vand og blev kun sjældent fyldt op. Dertil var der i øvrigt ingen isterninger, for deres maskine var gået i stykker. I det hele taget var personalet, to unge piger, hvoraf en var nyslået studine, ikke særlig om sig med service og havde nok udfordringer med at komme rundt med bestilte drikkevarer uden at spilde.
Til dessert var der forudvalgt "cheesecake", som jeg dog valgte ikke at spise, men mine kolleger var ikke synderligt begejstrede. Den var måske 75% fløde, en eller anden crumble i bunden m. appelsingelé på toppen. Ikke en succes hos nogen, og deres reaktion gav mig ikke ligefrem lyst til at smage heller. Jeg tilbød mine kolleger min portion, men ingen havde lyst til at slå til.
Vi sad indenfor, hvor solen havde været på tidligere på dagen, så der var godt drivhuslunt med kun et lille vindue til at lukke frisk luft ind.
Alt i alt ingen succesoplevelse, og jeg kan ikke forestille mig, vi kommer igen. Med de andre anmeldelser, stedet har på Google, burde vi slet ikke være gået derhen, og man kan undre sig over, de hverken har forbedret sig eller...
