Ok so good things first: lots of amazing Italian produce, interesting layout, and it happens to be near where I'm staying here in Copenhagen for a month.
Negatives: Copenhagen prices and then some
What I tried: pistachio tiramisu and classic tiramisu
The verdict: I'm not being harsh for the sake of being harsh, but these were among the worst tiramisu I have ever tried. And before anyone says that I'm not Italian and therefore not an expert, tiramisu is my favourite dessert and I have eaten a LOT and made it many times myself, trying various recipes (I'm a glutton and a food geek / enthusiast). This may be what some people want in a tiramisu, but it's almost not tiramisu to me.
I started with the pistachio one and the mascarpone layers were sour and tasted like pure cream cheese (almost not mascarpone - it had the texture but not the taste, which was very weird), with hardly any pistachio flavour and little sweetness. The texture was lazy and a chore to eat - like they just mixed cream cheese and not even the best pistachio cream together and left it at that. I'm not sure what the ladyfingers were soaked in and miraculously they did add some complexity to the whole thing, but overall it could not be saved.
The classic version was alcohol free, which I can understand but it's not my preference and I think it's also a cost cutting and profit maximising trick. Again there was a thick, one-dimensional mascarpone layer, the ladyfingers soaked in the coffee mixture were also fine and made it partially edible, but overall, this was a huge waste of money and I think anyone making tiramisu like this should take a good, hard look at themself because this is embarrassing. I threw them away less than half finished.
Hopefully rather than being offended and defensive, they will take this on board and improve...
Read moreUnfortunately a bit overrated. Their prices are very high which is understandable considering it’s Copenhagen but too much. The prices for their fresh food/panini in their cafe is not worth it. Their paninis are decent but not worth 65kr at all. It is mostly bread and I got two ‘barely there’ pieces of mozzarella while the one displayed in the front had a whole ball of mozzarella.(check photo) falsely advertised. I will not be buying their fresh pre made food again. Their grocery store however offers a lot of different Italian ingredients which are great. Too bad their food in the cafe is incredibly overpriced for what you actually receive. They also had some cake lying out on display and the cheesecake had completely fallen apart yet still selling it. I went to Supermarco for the first time almost a year ago but unfortunately has only...

Wide selection of food incl. fresh pastry, Italian dishes, coffee, charcuterie, all for reasonable prices. No other supermarket in Copenhagen can be compared to Supermarco in terms of quality and selection. Many comments suggest that this place is super expensive and I disagree, it offers large variety of food that is not avaiable in most of regular Danish supermarkets and for affordable prices.
The only downsides were that it was very crowded on Saturday morning and that we only discovered it after 3 years of living in CPH. 😭
We will definitely come back! And recommend visiting to everyone.
