English- ⭐ I’m giving one star because the waiter literally SCAMMED us.
The menu shows one price, but they charged another. We ordered two red snappers (chillos), listed at RD$1,195 per pound (the dollar was at RD$62.77).
When the food arrived, the waiter said:
“We gave you two fish each because they were very small.”
Then we saw the bill — RD$1,750 each. When we asked why, he claimed “we only had 2-pound fish” and that’s why he gave us two per person. That’s a total lie! Plus, they should always inform the customer before serving if there’s any change in size or price. In the end, we paid double without agreeing to it.
And to make it even worse, when he saw we were paying in dollars, he said:
“The company takes the dollar at RD$55.” 🤣🤣
Every other place in Las Terrenas was taking the dollar between RD$60–62, never 55. I stayed calm, paid, and left — honestly, he probably needs the money more than we do.
The food was delicious, but I do not recommend this place because of the dishonesty and lack of respect. We are Dominicans — I can only imagine how they treat...
Read moreThis is the 2nd time I come. The first time the food was not tasty- bacon cheese burger- - I had a gin and tonic that was tasteless- very watered down- and I’m not a hard drinker. Great service though!
This time, I ordered a spicy chimi burger and was very excited to try it, having eaten a chimichurri before, I know how full of flavors they can be. I was so looking forward to this- ANOTHER disappointment. Not much to it- the pink sauce and a little bit of cabbage with a very small side of fries. I also ordered a drink- sex on the beach- it tasted...
Read moreThe first time we stopped, I have to admit service was slow as there was a large table of people that seemed to get all the attention. But after awhile we finally got our drinks and we relaxed and just enjoyed being able to jump in the ocean when we got too hot. We returned to this spot in the end many times, it was a great place to sit and have a drink and we even finally ate! The food was quite delicious, especially the crab croquettes and the cerviche. Raymond was a great server and took wonderful care of us! Thanks for...
