Hotel Playa Caribe — Hotel in Las Terrenas

This hotel is a reasonable value, very safe and comfortable, and on the beach. If you don't mind a bit of "quaint" and want good value, this is the place for you. If you need * or **, look elsewhere. The hotel was clean and quiet. The pool is very well maintained and the grounds impeccable. There is secure parking and a small restaurant associated with the hotel. Breakfast is basic, and is included in the room price. There are cooking supplies n the room. The staff is attentive ad willing to help - though often slow in actually helping. We had a two bedroom unit and were on the outside - therefore overlooking the beach. That was great - most units are further from the water and face each other across the well maintained courtyard. Oh my!|We rented a two bedroom apartment. And one bedroom unit from 1/2-4. We were eating alive. The first night we dint think of any but the second night we part of our group were bitten. Management must know about this because how could they NOT. Two diff rooms! Come on!||Other than that breakfast service was slow, we felt as if we weren’t paying for the included breakfast. ||NO HOT WATER. I know is the Caribbean and it’s mostly warm climate but when you take a shower you would like your water to be at least luke warm. A three star hotel. Clean place. The staff is friendly. The included breakfast is something you should not rely upon. The beach is right across the road. The bar, located on hotel's ground, opens in the evening and you may have a dinner or a drink there (COZY!). |The furniture should be checked. Some chairs in the rooms are not safe to sit on. The sofa in the room should be replaced (ripped and smells). The TV was nice and you may charge your devices off it.
