Read moreLet me start by saying. You couldn’t pay me to stay in this hotel again. Ask yourself What do you expect when you spend 100 UD dollars on a room in this city. ? There was a myriad of issues during my stay. First of all the breakfast was inedible. It was really bad. I ended up finding a Cafe on Calle en conde to eat my breakfast as the hotel breakfast was fit for farm animals only. I tried to find one redeeming quality thing about it. I couldn’t. Second. The hotel has most of its rooms facing the malecon. It’s so noisy from the traffic. All the time. That includes the pollution and busy street out in front of the pool on second floor. It’s not a nice place to relax. As for the view. Well. It’s not bad. Until you include the mountain of floating trash in the ocean Not the hotel’s fault for sure. But it’s there. Third. Most of the time I got hot water during the day. Mid morning and before dinner time it was ever only like warm. I can live with that Air conditioner is fed through duct work. It’s noisy as hell. But you get used to it. I had a dress shirt laundered and they do not do their laundry on site. It is sent out. The shirt got ruined due to excessive heat from the iron they used to press it. I spent so much time trying to contact management. They were never to be found. The staff was courteous throughout for sure That shirt was 200 dollar shirt and all they said was nothing they would do. Quite upsetting. Absolutely no level of management there at all. The hotel is mostly outdated. My room was a mix of renovations. old and new. Bathroom was nice. Perhaps they were doing the same next door as I heard construction fairly early in the morning time for 2 days out of 4. This hotel lacks the basic service level you would expect in a 100 dollar a night room. Maybe 40 is more appropriate. There are many better choices around Zona Colonial I’m rating this...
Read moreThe worst customer service at front desk. I will explain.
I had a reservation and arrived early in the morning to the hotel, around 9:30am, do to a meeting I had to attend to early in the afternoon that day ( at 1:00pm.).
Being aware that check ins are at 3:00pm, I explained to the lady at the front desk my situation, and asked if it was possible to have one of the rooms I needed to be clean first, so I could do an early check in and don't miss my meeting. To which she said that she will see what she could do. Almost 3hrs later, around 12:00pm, with no time to get ready and attend my meeting, I came over to the front desk to know if they could get a room for me, to which, with and unkind tone and attitude, she said that there where still no clean rooms, that she doesn't know when there will be one, and that she has no information about when the cleaning staff are going to start cleaning them. (Something she could have said from the start and I would have gone somewhere else).
I complained about their disgusting customer service and went back to my seat and started calling the other near hotels to see if there were any with rooms available.
Less than 10mins after I began making calls, and that they saw me calling other places, they came to tell me that now they have a room. After 3hrs with empty rooms all morning because a full buss of tourists had left the building right before I arrived.
From 9:30am to 12:30am they could not clean one of them, nor they cared about my needs and urgency because of the meeting I had and lost because of their incompetence.
On the other hand I called the Marriot Sheraton hotel, and right after the lady on the phone her my urgency, she told me to come over that she could get me a room clean and ready in 30mins tops, using a tone of voice and attitude of care and willingness to help.
Something that, at least on that day, no one had among the staff of the Napolitano Hotel. They do not care at all about the...
