Pizzarelli Malecón — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

I vacation in DR 2-3 times a year and always travel with 10-15 people in a group to Pizzarelli, Well this visit was a quiet one with my husband we ordered the Pizzone, chicken strip and also another appetizer! Well the Pizzone was too much for us and we asked for a box and were given a sermon on how that can’t give us a box to put the 8 pieces in but were willing to give us a pie shaped box to fit in 2 squares one on top of the other offering 4 pie shaped boxes! I explained how I wanted it boxed and if the box was the issue I would pay for it, the manager got into logistics blah blah blah and made me feel like I was wrong and he was right “No Exceptions”,the bill paid it off without any issues 3610 pesos and on top of that they heard me speak about not leaving a tip and automatically included the Tip on the bill! I have been a faithful customer for over 15 years at this location in el Malecon but I have decided to delete this business! I will spend my hard earned American Dollars elsewhere. Management needs to recognize who their customers are, not focus on logistics and the cost of one box!!! Shame on You!!!

The worst service ever, my husband bought a pie of pizza and we ate it outside. Wanted to use the bathroom and she refused me of going to use it without a freaking receipt. She laughed in my face and very unprofessional, I would never buy a pizza from this franchise in my life, they need to learn how to train their staff better. EN EL DÍA DE AYER PEDIMOS UNA PIZZA PARA DELIVERY EN LA ZONA DE GAZCUE Y LLEGÓ UNA HORA Y VIENTICINCO MINUTOS DESPUES DE ORDENARLA (DE 8:10PM A 9:35PM) A PESAR DE QUE TE PROMETEN 40 MINUTOS COMO MAXIMÓ. EL DELIVERY PARA TRATAR DE JUSTIFICAR EL PÉSIMO SERVICIO TENIA UNA HISTORIA PARA NADA CREIBLE DE QUE TODAS LAS MOTOCICLETAS ESTABAN AVERIADAS Y QUE DE SER CIERTO PIZZARELLI ESTARIA EN UNA GRAVE Y PREOCUPANTE SITUACIÓN GERENCIAL O FINANCIERA. SINCERAMENTE NO VOLVEREMOS A CONSUMIR NADA MAS EN ESTE NEGOCIO Y LA RECIBIMOS PORQUE HABIAN NIÑOS ESPERANDO PARA CENAR. FUE NECESARIO ENCENDER NUESTRO HORNO PARA RECALENTAR TODO LO QUE ORDENAMOS PORQUE DE FRÍO PARECIA ACABADO DE SACAR DE LA NEVERA.
