Hostal Capri — Hotel in Belisario Quevedo

Nostalgia Capri has an excellent location in the center of Quito, close to the main transport systems. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The employees are very kind and competent to solve any issue. The breakfast is simple but tasty with fresh fruits, eggs, coffee or tea, and bread or Ecuadorian typical dish. There is one important trick when you make your booking. You have to ask for a room at the rear part of the hotel. Otherwise you are going to suffer from the important noise coming from the main street. A point that might be improved is the small size of the bathroom and the water heating system that is difficult to regulate to obtain good water temperature. We stayed in this hostal last night and it was airy, cheerful and very secure. We had reservations for Hostal Capri two nights but took bad advice from a cab driver who told us that it was too far from the airport and instead our first night was spent at a dump. After a sleepless night in that terrible smokey room we left in a hurry in the morning straight to what seemed like heaven to stay at Hostal Capri. The staff were friendly the breakfast was wonderful. Nice warm showers and very comfortable beds. You cannot beat the value of the place, very affordable. My wife and I spent 10 days here in October. The entire crew were very friendly and helpful. The room, while fairly small, was clean and comfortable. It is centrally located close to everywhere you want to go!
