This is one of my favorite museums in Ecuador. Well worth the visit and one of the only museums in Quito with English translations. There is a certain “mystical ambiance” to the museum that cannot be explained.
The museum is 5 floors. The 1st floor is the entrance & gift shop. Floors 2-5 are the museum. There is an elevator and a spiral staircase which guides you down each level. Bathroom is located on the 3rd floor.
I have been to Ecuador many times—but this is the only museum I have seen that explains where various Ecuadorian crafts and pre-Colombian art originate from.

Do not miss this museum during your trip to Ecuador. You will learn a lot. Cost of...

It's not a large museum, but certainly worth the few dollars entry fee and was interesting enough for my 7- and...

I found it very contrasting style for showcasing the elements. The top floors presentations had this old style and somewhat low maintenance, however the bottom floors where most people transit, has a very modern and stylish presentation of elements which made it look very attractive and different from top floors.
It was great to find a cafeteria and a cinema on 2rd and 3rd floor respectively.
Regardless, to pay a visit to this museum is...
