GO Hostel — Hotel in Cuenca

Pretty new hostel in the middle of the nice old town area (approx 1.7usd taxi from terminal and 5min from the river). The Staff is very nice (especially the chef who cooks) and they serve breakfast as well (basic but for this bed price def no complaint). They offer a la card dishes, had the quinoa burger which was very delicious and good value! They arrange nice music evenings (but not until late) which create a nice atmosphere. The 8bed dorm was the most spacious dorm we've ever been to! Wifi was good and everything clean. The beds were very comfy with nice blankets. maybe lockers under the mattress will be improved due to very newly opened. The 1st dorm upstairs right to the left can be a bit noisy on weekends, but no big deal. Hostel has huge potential, good value and they do definitely a great effort to satisfy their guests. Would definitely come again and...

I would recommend GO Hostel for its low prices, good location, and friendly, helpful staff. However, we were disappointed to find upon arrival that the hostel did not have enough bath towels for all its guests (we had to air-dry!). Hot water was not reliable. In our room, we had a lot of noise from the street, though that might not be the case for all rooms. It was also unsettling that one of the beds in our dorm-style room had dead bugs on the mattress--a staff member assured us that this was the result of an anti-insect treatment, but it still was off-putting. Despite some discomforts, the staff was extremely welcoming. They even let us stay in the hostel almost all afternoon after we checked out...

Very loud street noises and noises from discotecas downstairs all night, so couldn't sleep at all. Also, only 1 bathroom for all the rooms!! The only good thing is that the staff try to be very friendly and helpful, but that still didn't make up for all the noises so i had no choice but to leave the next day! Also, even though I reserved a female dorm the staff let a gay couple stay there so i had to change to...
