A very good addition to Cuenca Chinese dining with a good measure of authenticity. It’s certainly a much better choice than the common chifa eatery.
😎The short pictorial menu looks a good listing of familiar Sichuan dishes… The lady server confirms that cook-owner, her husband, does come from the Sichuan region.
The menu is marred only by the pesky General Tso😡😡, which is NOT CHINESE and DOES NOT exist in PRC or its territories.
🤩 Pollo al Cumino (Cumin Chicken)::: has the familiar flavors and fragrance of Chinese spices, with that distinctive kick of cumin…. BUT lacks the Sichuan heat that could have elevated the flavor and gusto of this otherwise splendid dish.
🤩 Pepinos con Oreja de Maderas (Pickled Cucumbers with Woodear Mushrooms)::: a classic Sichuan COLD dish that is prepared without chilies. Lovely favor indeed,,, BUT this one has so much cucumbers when the woodears should have been the star!
😑🫤 Empanadillos de Cerdo (pork dumplings)::: quite flavorful and packed filling… BUT the dough is gummy and served a tad cold indicating they were frozen and slightly reheated when they should have been served steaming hot.

If you like Chinese food, you should check out this place! So far I have tried Twice cooked pork (回锅肉) and General Tsao's chicken (左宗棠鸡)and both are super delicious.
