Hotel Santa Ana — Hotel in Cuenca

Staff are very slow to respond to requests (eg. we enquired about the mini fridge not working on the first night, it never got seen to) and seem visibly disorganised. Buffet style breakfast was very poor quality considering the price of the hotel. Everywhere else we stayed offered table service and considerably better quality food. Rooms have no sound proofing and are centered around a common area so you can hear the movement and voices of other guests throughout the day and night. The cleaning team leave the windows in the rooms facing the common area wide open meaning our valuables were accessible to anyone in the hotel. Pictures of the rooms do NOT match the reality. To put it short: DON'T GO THERE! On booking they put the wrong description so that we ended up in a small and ugly smelling room (feces and fumes) instead of the promised suite. The pool, the sauna and the jacuzzi are DISGUSTING and don't work properly. It was loud and ugly, everything is either broken or looks as if no one has taken care of it for decades. The people working there are not interested in working out a solution for this fraud. Telling them that the booking ad is totally wrong was ignored. The room was also dirty, old and disgusting. Mala la experiencia. Reservamos 3 habitaciones matrimoniales y en todas había una sola toalla para 2 personas, un rollo de papel a la mitad de uso, sábanas sucias con rastros de cabellos y los forros de almohadas con manchas amarillas. Tuvimos que comprar toallas, sábanas y para la higiene personal; las habitaciones no son como se muestran en las fotos, reservamos allí porque nos gustó lo que en Internet ellos publican. No actualizan las imágenes así que no se dejen engañar. Estuvimos 2 noches y el desayuno fue el mismo para ambos días, el jugo era más agua que fruta y el pan bastante duro y frío... deberían variar y mejorar el desayuno. Ofrecieron bebidas calientes las 24 horas y la sorpresa fue que mi novio salió de la habitación temprano en la mañana (7:30) en ambos días a buscar té caliente y la mesa donde ubicaban los termos estaba vacía, puesto que los señores se llevaban todo para el desayunador, en pocas palabras son mentirosos El garaje muy estrecho y por tal motivo tuvimos inconvenientes con el gerente quien es un regionalista y maleducado sin ética profesional ni moral. Tuvimos que pagar las carreras de taxi de otro huésped por la incompetencia del gerente. No hay suficiente información para los huéspedes. NO RECOMIENDO LA ESTADIA EN ESE HOTEL.
