The rooms are OK, we stayed in a single room for 2 days. The king size bed is actually two mattresses together and the sheets would come off everytime we sleep. The room was a bit humid but all of Guayaquil is, so turn your AC on. There's not really much to say about the room it's simple, quite old, it has an old TV with cable the bathroom is old and the toilet would work weirdly sometimes, the faucet would leak if you open it and the shower is just a regular cup out of a tube. The view from our room wasn't spectacular but not bad either, there's a tall building across the street but if you look on the sides you can see Chile ST and the bushes and such. The area is nice and you got the malecon nearby and other good restaurants around. The staff was helpful but didn't seem as they would at least pretend to love their job. Wouldn't stay here again unless I'm on a budget because it was pretty cheap for a hotel in the area or even airbnb. Also there are no outlets near the bed which is...

Wifi was a bit more tricky on 2nd floor and kept having to have the router restarted. The room was fine and comfortable and even though we were right above the busy street, the beeping of cars horns stopped overnight and didn't start again until about 6.45am. Breakfast was slightly weird even by Ecuadorean standards as the menu came round every day but no matter what you ordered you got the same thing. The waiter serves hot milk and you put Nescafe in the cup from a pot on the table. That caught a few people out! The main challenge is to find somewhere to eat that is not the Intercontinetal Hotel and not a fast food cafe or takeaway. Tricky, but we found a seafood place on the Malecon which was rather expensive but ok and Subway for lunchtime which was the least...

During my 2 weeks stay here at Doral Hotel, room service and restaurant were amazing because I found what ever I needed especially local food and my favorite salad. Transportation is very easy to catch because all day and night taxi are available from time to time. The most important is my safety so I cannot lie I feel home because police and security were present. They always spoil me by asking what I needed and I feel special. Trust me Robenson Dorvil karaté...
