We really enjoyed our stay at Posada del Maple. The room was clean and comfortable and our shower was perfectly hot. It even had a private patio surrounded by flowers from the Redvein flowering maple after which the hostel is named. We had breakfast one morning and it was delicious. We were also able to store our bags while we went out to explore Quito.||||The location was great. Quiet street with restaurants nearby in Plaza Foch. A bank and a nearby pharmacy came in handy.||||Our host was very, very kind. My husband became ill the day we were supposed to catch a night bus to Lago Agrio. She got him comfortable on the couch and made him tea (this was all after we’d checked out). When we decided we could not travel she set us up for another night and even checked in on him in the morning. ||||All in all, a great place to stay that I can’t...

They were attentive but never intrusive, creating the perfect balance of hospitality.||I had my own bathroom in my room, which added to the comfort and convenience. Highly recommended!||Thank you Carlota and Darwin! Wish...

They should consider thicker blinds or drapes if they insist on keeping the sign lit up all night long. Also, the window does not lock which is a security risk (I had mentioned this to the previous owners) and it rained hard so water came in under the door to the balcony. Also the internet reliability has declined during my most...
