I cannot stress how important is a good host and what influence they have on your entire vacation. Nelyza was simply a delight! She was caring, informative, friendly, and more than willing to help at all times. The place is located a bit further up town, about 15-20 min walk from the promenade and center, and Nelyza chased me time and time again to give me a scooter ride even when I said it was not necessary she insisted, and it was of course very helpful at times, especially when I had early morning tours to embark on. The owners are unbelievably kind, generous. They go out of their way to help you navigate the islands and attractions, while making sure that you are not overcharged or taken advantage of. If you prefer high dollar luxury hotels so that you can be pampered, this is not for you. If you like to hang out with the locals in a non-touristy place that is fun, unique and eclectic, you will love it here. Oh, almost forgot...plenty of cold beers are in the rooms...
Read moreI had a wonderful time at Nelly’s place! She is the nicest and helps you out with everything. She’s just such a positive - spirited person with a wonderful attitude towards her guests. And her place is very beautiful and green, clean and located in a safe neighborhood. It’s a little off the tourist part of the island, so if you’re looking for a calm, authentic place, this is it. They have free bikes for you to take and it’s just a very short bike ride to the port. (She can also tell you where to get the best (cheap) $1 empanadas in town - they...
