Dirty, run down horrific place and located in slums Cairo. Rubbish all around the streets, cars honking entire night and dirt of this “hostel” makes you just sick! Pictures are misleading as this place doesn’t look like this, I attached the real pictures. “Kitchen” is dirty with broken plugs, sticky surfaces, the room full of dust, dirty and smelly bedsheets (and the fleece blanket) full of stains after a previous user, fleece blanket on the bed instead of a proper duvet, no heating or heaters provided so super cold in the entire place. Shower dirty and broken, no shower curtain so entire tiny bathroom was just flooded; used toilet paper cannot be flushed but put into a bin (!!!). I arrived at around 5am ALONE (single female traveller!) and was harassed by the male staff who would knock to my room’s door, asking me if I’m married, and trying to hug me! When I could not close a balcony door, suddenly this male staff appeared offering me his help! How did he know I couldn’t close this door? Must have CCTV installed in the rooms! After all of this upsetting experience, I cancelled my reservation in the morning but they REFUSED to refund my money!! They wanted to keep my ENTIRE PAYMENT FOR 5 NIGHTS, despite staying there only 7 HOURS!! I felt unsafe, threatened, cheated and stressed with this horrible situation! They are scammers, fraudsters and cheaters so I would avoid this place. Entire trip to Cairo was just a pure nightmare, struggling with this scammers to get my money back. No, NOT RECOMMENDED! AVOID THIS DIRTY and RUN DOWN place, unless you want to be scammed and stay in a dirty...

Read moreVery very very bad service. Third floor, elevator working only with the key and no explanation on how to use it the first time you got there (although they write you on the booking.com chat, they do not explain anything): so ended up carrying all the baggage until the 3 floor. At the reception pretty much not English speaking people, who are not able to communicate (even the numbers for the price were in Arabic language!) Room with air conditioned..without remote control. Internet: hidden network ,no explanation how to find it (until I had called the only speaking person...fortunately I had an Egyptian card to call him) People from the stuff shouting and arguing at the reception late in the evening. Price : booking give you a price without tax but you discover the final price only when you are there and it's impossible to discuss it,since they don't speak English. Last but not least : I went with a friend, next day my boyfriend reached us,but he booked a separate room (to avoid any issue ,since we are in a Muslim country and we are not yet married).. They didn't let me enter his room not even to give him a water I had bought for him. It was impossible to have any contact with him until we claimed the issue. And the place is for not-Egyptian people...with Egyptian rules and...
